Dear applicant,
Thank you for showing an interest in our school.
Hever CE Primary School is a small and friendly village school with four mixed year classes located in beautiful grounds.
We are looking for an outstanding practitioner to join our KS1team, teaching a mixed year1/2 class. The class will be split every morning to make a smaller group of approximately15 pupils and there is the support of a full time teaching assistant used between both the classes. The vacancy is temporary from the beginning of term 3 (4thJanuary 2016) until the end of term 6 (22nd July 2016) however there is scope for the contract to be extended after this period. It has arisen due to a teacher relocating to be nearer to their family. The person we appoint will have the ability to excite and inspire children with their teaching, whilst maintaining excellent standards. Our creative curriculum allows for enrichment opportunities and real life learning to take place.
The person appointed will be joining us at an exciting time; The school has just achieved its best ever results in Key Stage One and Two,our most recent OFSTED recognised us as a much improved school with many good features, and we are well on the way towards being classed as ‘Outstanding’. Our children are well behaved, highly motivated and are keen to learn. We have an established leadership team and friendly and supportive staff who all support each other to provide the very best for our children.
Please apply via the Kent Teach website or send your application form together with a letter of application stating your teaching experience in KS1, personal strengths and subject strengths. The closing date for applications is 12 noonFriday 13thNovember 2015. Interviews will be held during the following week.
Hever CEP School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant would be required to complete a DBS check and receive satisfactory clearance, along with a confidential health questionnaire. Written references will also be requested.
We welcome visits to the school and look forward to meeting you. Please phone the school office to arrange an appointment.
Yours sincerely
Joanna Stratton
