The Magic seed
It’s winter. It’s cold and snowy. One day a girl is walking along a path through the wood. She is singing a song to herself. She is carrying a basket with a picnic inside. Suddenly she meets an old lady. “Hello” says the girl. “How are you today?” “I am very hungry” says the old lady. “Would you like a sandwich?” asks the girl. “Thank you” says the old lady.
The old lady eats the sandwich very quickly because she is very hungry. When she finishes, she gives the girl a seed. “What’s this?” asks the girl. “I am not just an old lady” says the old lady “I am a witch. This is a magic seed”. The witch gives the girl the seed. “Plant this seed in the ground and wait” says the witch. So the girl plants the seed in the ground and she waits.
She waits all through the winter. Finally in spring the seed begins to grow. And it grows, and grows, and grows.
In summer it is hot. The seed grows into a very tall tree. One day the girls looks at the tree. “I wonder what is at the top of the tree” she thinks to herself. So she decides to climbs the tree.
The tree is very tall so it takes a long time to climb. Finally the girl gets to the top. At the top of the tree there is a big green leaf monster. “I am the leaf monster. I eat leaves and I eat children” says the big green leaf monster. “Help, help” says the girl. “What can I do?”
Suddenly the girl sees something up in the sky. “What is that?” she asks herself. “Is it a bird? Is it a plane?” Then she realises! It is the witch flying on her broomstick. The witch lands on the top of the tree. “Don´t worry. I will help you” says the witch. The witch takes out a magic wand. She waves here magic wand and she says the magic words “Alikazam!” There is a loud noise “Boof!” and suddenly summer changes into autumn.
The leaves change colour and fall off the trees. “What is happening?” says the leaf monster. “Where are the leaves? I need leaves!” The big green leaf monster dies and turns into a green leaf. “Thank you!” says the girl. And the girl and the witch live happily ever after. The end.
