Dear Business Owners and Private Donors,

What a great year the Wisconsin River Trail (EIN 46-5278938) and community of Boscobel has had! After receiving the DNR grant, progress abounds on our ½ mile trail to the boat landing. By the time our 3rd Annual Hiking & Biking Banquet is here, we will all be using our trail that connects Boscobel to the Von Haden Boat Landing. YEAH US!

Last year our banquet raised approximately $27,000, including the $5000 Boscobel Community Foundation donation and a $1000 private donation! The earnings from this banquet will pay for our final financial commitment to the city for phase 1 costs, and will also be used to pay for engineering costs needed to continue to write grants for phase 2A that takes us from Borden Road and Highway 133 West to the Cozy Acres Mobile Park. Grants were written this year for a Department of Transportation TAPS grant which funds 80% of the project, and also another DNR grant. Creating a trail that ends (temporarily) at Cozy Acres Trailer Court will offer another safe alternative route to and from Boscobel for these residents and all the residents that live in between, as well as a 7-mile biking and walking path for our citizens and visitors to use.

We continue to apply and obtain other smaller grants and see our community’s future becoming brighter with every positive step in the right direction.

We are asking you, as a business owner/private donor, if you would be willing to donate, either an article/item, or a monetary donation so that we can purchase higher priced merchandise to raffle off. This year if you donate a gift of money, we will be sure to let you know, as well as announce at the banquet, what your donation purchased. If you would like to suggest what we use your donation to purchase, we can work with you on that also. Due to the status of our volunteers and daily work schedules, we are asking that if you can provide a gift/donation, that you would be able to contact us when you would like us to pick your donation up. If you would choose not to donate this year, please feel free to just send us an email stating this.

Please contact Denise Fisher at 507-269-2606 or email at , or Joel Leonard at 375-5728 or for information or for any planned donation.

Three years ago, this was just a dream. Now our dream is a reality and we couldn’t be more proud of our community. Thank you for your support as we continue to build a one-of-a-kind trail together!

Thank You,
