Hello Wonderful Parents,

Thank you to all the parents who attended conferences on Friday! I look forward to meeting with the remaining parents this week. Thank you for making this a priority to meet with me. It takes all of us to make sure your child gets a solid foundation in kindergarten that will help them in the future.

Mark your calendars for:

1)Please be on time for your Parent/Teacher Conference on Thursday. All gates will be open so you may enter through any gate.

2)Early Release on Thursday, October 23rd, and Friday, October 24th.

3) Mark your calendars for Friday, October 31st as we will be going on a field trip to Tolmachoff Farms. The permission slip is going home today. Please return it by next Tuesday. The cost is $15.00. Please make checks payable to GPS and include your phone number on your check. You may also pay cash. If you are a chaperone riding the bus you will also pay $15.00. Students need a sack lunch that is completely disposable. Please mark it clearly with your child’s name. Please also make sure your child wears their “WILD about Kindergarten” shirt! You may follow the bus or meet us at the farm if you are not a chaperone.

4) Literacy Night~ November 4th from 4:30-6:30

Please make plans to attend our first Literacy Night here at Gavilan Peak. This will be a fun filled night for the entire family. There will be food trucks, and many activities you won’t want to miss. I will be there too 

Thank you to Tracy Mask for being our class Junior Achievement Volunteer. Mrs. Mask is the mother of Lauren. We had our first lesson last Friday. Mrs. Mask will be coming in for the next 5 weeks on Friday mornings to teach us about Junior Achievement. This is a wonderful program our school offers to every child. We look forward to the next few weeks with Mrs. Mask!
