Supplementary Regulations

Welcome to this exciting NewRallysprintSeries.

Over many years Central Queensland Motor Sporting Club (CQMSC)has brought to the racing community many fantastic, exciting motorsport events.

We would like to invite you to the Kumho Tyre Motorsport Rallysprint Series 2016. A 4 round series held at Mandalay Park, Via Mt Morgan. We have spent time grading and forming three new roads to suit everybody’s driving skill. Later in the year we will introduce aStage 1 Rallysprint for Newcomers, these are held on a maximum 4 km course.CQMSC recognises that for the sport to grow we need to invest in creating new events to attract new competitors and spectators, hence the stage 1 for newcomers.

Kumho Tyre Motorsport Rallysprints series also offers the following Awards all points tallied after 4 rounds. Fuel Vouchers for

2WD - 0-2000cc – 1st $200, 2nd $100 and 3rd $50

2WD - 2001cc and above- 1st $200, 2nd $100 and 3rd $50

All 4WD vehicles- 1st $200, 2nd $100 and 3rd $50

Junior and Ladies – We need 3 or more entries to make classes.1st $200, 2nd $100 and 3rd $50 if no class’s prizes to be added to other classes at Clerk of Course discretion. Also the valve of prizes may rise due to added sponsorship over 4 rounds period.

Also from Kumho Tyre Motorsport we have two (2) full sets of Rally tyres, Rules are teams that have competed in all four (4) rounds go into the lucky draw. We will have two (2) draws; each draw offers a full set of Kumho Rally tyres of your choice.

Please Note; To win the major prize you have to compete in all FOUR ROUNDS.

To help us enjoy these new events we need to follow some rules -Please to continue the use of this property keep it clean, take all rubbish with you, if you damage any of the property please advise the Clerk ofCourse. If you hit a BEAST you own the bruised side, the club keeps the good side.

1.The Event

The Event is an S2 Rallysprint open to all members of CAMS affiliated car clubs.

The Kumho Tyre Motorsport RallysprintSeries will be conducted over Private Roads within the Mandalay Park property boundaries, with the 1st round on Saturday, 16th and 17th April, 2016, Rd 2 09th-10th/07/2016, Round 3 – 3RD and 4th September and last round 10th and 11th December

The Event is a competitive event, designed to test the skill of the driver and co-driver, and the reliability and mechanical condition of the competing vehicle.

2. Authority

The event shall be conducted under the general provisions of theInternational Sporting Code of the F.I.A., National Competition Rules (NCRs) of CAMS Ltd, the National Rally Code (NRC), and the CAMS 2016 Rallysprint standing regulations, CQMSC Organisers Conditions, these Supplementary Regulations and any further regulations which may be issued by the organisers and approved by CAMS Ltd.

7. Alteration to, Abandonment or Termination of the Event

In accordance with Section 6.9 of the Rally Code and NCR 59, the Organisers reserve the right to abandon, alter or terminate the event at any point.

8. ALCOHOL, DRUGS AND OTHER SUBSTANCES

Any holder of a CAMS ‘Competition’ or ‘Officials’ licence (or equivalent licence issued by another

ASN) may be tested for the presence of drugs (or other banned substances) and subject to a

penalty(ies) for a breach in accordance with the CAMS Anti-Doping Policy and/or the CAMS Illicit

Drugs in Sport (Safety Testing) Policy as published on the CAMS website. Consumption of alcohol

in the paddock, pits or any section of the competition venue/course under the control of the

Officials is forbidden until all competition is concluded each day. Accordingly, any holder of a

CAMS ‘Competition’ or ‘Officials’ licence (or equivalent licence issued by another ASN) may also

be tested for the presence of alcohol by a CAMS Accredited Testing Official (CATO) in accordance

with the CAMS Standard Operating Procedure for Breath Alcohol Testing.

9. COMPETITION DETAILS

Eligibility of Vehicles– Vehicles at Clerk of Course Discretion.

Status:Round 3 of 4 in the 2016 Kumho Tyre Motorsport RallysprintSeries

Entries: Maximum number of entries -35 + 5

Licence Requirements as follows:

Driver:A minimum of CAMS Clubman Rally Licence.

Co-Driver: A minimum of CAMS ClubmanNavigator Licence.

10.Classes

2016 Kumho Tyre Motorsport Rallysprint Series

2WD - 0-2000cc

2WD - 2001cc and above

All 4WD vehicles

Junior and Ladies – We need 3 or more entries to make classes.

11.Apparel

As Per Schedule D of the CAMS Manual - Although always recommended, Frontal Head, Restraints and driving suits are NOT mandatory at this event.

12.Event Format

No. of Attempts (runs) on each stage: 3 Forward 3 Reverse

Stage Length(s) (km): Stage 1:7.9kms, Stage 2:8.0kms approx

13. Entry Fees

Entry Fee: $150.00 perDriver- includes St Johns Ambulance fee

The entry fees whichincludesPublic Liability Insurance, CAMS Permit Fee, and Paramedic Services.

The method of Entry and payment is via CAMS Event entry system only.

Only competitors whose entry fee has been paid in full by the close of documentation will be permitted to start the event.

14. Number of Entries

Entries will be limited to thirty five (35) plus five (5) reserves. Should this number be exceeded

prioritywill be given byorder of Clerk of Course.

15. Starting Order

The starting order will be determined by a 1km prologue on day one if time allows and whatever other information the organisers deem relevant.The entire field will be seeded as one group with times taken from prologue from 1 to last if time allows.

16.Change of Entry

Competitors may, at any time up to the close of Documentation Verification, change the vehicleor crew members upon written notification to the Clerk of Course.

17. Crew Eligibility

Crews will comprise one or two persons, one designated as the Driver and one as the Co-Driver.

The Driver may have up to 2 different Co-Drivers. The Driver will be required to compete in thesame vehicle throughout the event. One competing vehicle is permitted to have a maximum oftwo (2) competing drivers (double entered). Each driver will need to complete a separate entry.

The minimum age for competitors for this event is: 14years as per 2016 Rallysprint standing Regulations 6.2

Drivers: 14 yearsand must have an experienced Rally Driver/Co-Driver with them.

Co-Drivers: 14years

18. Competitors Briefing

A Competitors Briefing will be held as per TABLE 1 EVENT PROGRAMME Item 1.6 at the event headquarters.

It is required that at all competitors attend and be present for the entire duration of this briefing.

19. Scrutineering

Competitors living within 100km from Rockhampton are required to attend the location TABLE 1 EVENT PROGRAMME Item 1.2

Competitors living more than 100km please see your regional scrutineer and contact Craig 0488351525 for details.

At Scrutineering competitors will be required to present:

-All Documents

- Helmets

- The car in a “ready to rally” condition, including driving lights (if they will be used).

20. Documentation

At Documentation Verification competitors will be required to present:

- Completed Scrutineering form

- Clubman Rally Licences for the Driver / Co-Driver

- CAMS affiliated Car Club Membership – Driver / Co-Driver

- Vehicle Registration Papers and proof of Third Party Insuranceextension for motorsport.

Competition Numbers and Advertising will be issued at documentation verification.

21. Classes

Categories and classes are as perItem10

Should there be less than 3 entries in a class the organisers reserve the right to combine or not award for those classes.

22. Rallysprint Headquarters

Rallysprint Headquarters will be located at the Pit Area.

23. Directions

Directions to Rallysprint HQ and Service Park (Attached to end of these Supplementary regulations)

24. Servicing

Fuel as per Schedule G in Cams Manual.

All servicing will take place at the Service Park. For reasons of competitor and service crew

safety, no Servicing or Refuelling is permitted outside designated Service Areas / Refuelling areas.

There is NO PUMP FUEL available at the Service Park.

Fuel must be purchased priorto the event, nearest fuel is Mt Morgan. (approx. 20 kilometres)

In order to be covered by the CAMS Personal Accident Insurance, service crew members must be registered with the Organisers by the close of Documentation Verification. A form will be available at Documentation Verification.

25. Course Markings

The finish of stages will be indicated by a Yellow Chequered Flag board prior to the timing line

and a Red Chequered Flag Board on the timing line.

26. Starting and Running Order

Cars will run in numerical order, starting at intervals of no less than two (2) minutes.

It is the competitor’s responsibility to be ready on time and in order at the start of each run.

Any competitor failing to report to the start in the correct order will forfeit that run.

27. Pacenotes

Pacenotes are permitted for this event (all pacenotes to written on Reconnaissance run)

28. Event Signage

It is a condition of entry that all competing cars display the event and/or series signage. The

event signage issupplied. Vehicle front doors a white background area 500mm by 530mm

as per Rally Manual Schedule K.

29. Penalties

The Clerk of Course reserves the right to take into account all official documents when compilingthe results, including control cards and to correct any verified recording errors.

30. Results

Each run will be timed and recorded to a minimum resolution of one second. All result willbe posted on the CQMSCwebsite. Finishing Qualifications

Competitors must start each section from a standing start under the vehicle’s own motive force and must complete the section without assistance from other vehicles in a reasonable time as determined by the Clerk of the Course or their nominee.

32. Medical

St Johns Ambulance will be in attendance for the duration of the event.

33. Updates

Any additions and/or alterations to these Supplementary Regulations will be posted on CQMSC web page and facebook page.

34.Safety

All personnel are asked to assess the risks associated with any practice that they are involved with, and take action to minimise the potential injury to themselves and any other personnel.

Please observe the following rules to assist our event to be a safe one.

- No smoking within the service park (smoking area will be in place.)

- Jack stands must be used when working under vehicle

- Suitable fire extinguisher will be supplied in the refuelling area.

- Suitable Fire Extinguisher at each start and finish point and at the Clerk of Course Discretion.

35. Awards

Kumho Tyre Motorsport Awards will be presented to classes below:

Classes –

1st, 2nd and 3rdplace - 2WD 0-2000cc

1st, 2nd and 3rdplace - 2WD 2001cc-up

1st, 2nd and 3rdplace – All 4WD vehicles

Junior and Ladies – We need 3 or more entries to make classes to award prizes.

The Organisers reserve the right to add to these awards.

At the end of the series we are holding a presentation BBQ Lunch; the club would appreciate all competitor and official to attend.Date to be advised.

36. General

Rallysprint Headquarters and the Service Park will all remain in the same areas during the event series.

PARKING:

There will be officials/signs to advise on parking /service areas.

PLEASE NOTE:

If you don’t have a scrutineering form OR haven’t paid your event entry to the Central Queensland Motor Sporting Club (CQMSC) via EVENT ENTRY system you will not be able to start the event.

If you have entered and paid in the last few days before the event please bring proof of your payment.

Follow along Burnett Highway to Central Hotel-(Burnett Highway and Dee Street), Mt Morgan.
