HEALTH &WELLNESS COORDINATION

Interests: Pursuit of a career in health and wellness coordination for public service employees/public safety. Maintaining a healthy workforce of Fire, Police, and EMS personnel is essential to the safety of our citizens. Using my hands on experience in the emergency response field and education background in Fire Science will help play an essential role in creating a healthy workforce. ß

ABOUT ME:

I am a certified firefighter and graduate of the Texas A&M Fire Academy Recruit Class 131. I have Over 540 hours of live fire experience, along with over 64 college credit hours in Fire Science Technology. Distinguished student honors were earned at Blinn College Emergency Medical Services Program and also am a employed Nationally Registered EMT in the state of New Jersey. I possess a unique combination of strong proficiencies in patient treatment and pre hospital assessment providing basic life support to patients in need of emergency transport to a continuing care facility. I have strong ability to adjust under pressure in an emergency environment both EMS and on the live fire ground. I value the importance of continuing education, training, and the vital significance of keeping a sound mind and body fit for duty. I am a National physique competitor and Rowan graduate of Health and Exercise Science: Health Promotion and Fitness Management. I have served on many committees and health/wellness programs such as “Fight for Clean Air” stair climb in Philadelphia that promotes respiratory wellness for emergency personnel.
