MAKING THE GRADE
We are using the following grading scale:
Class work/homework 25%
Quizzes 25%
Tests/Projects 50%
I will add 5 points to any test that we have 100% attendance. All tests are cumulative.
It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to get all notes and assignments, as well as make up all tests and quizzes the next day after missing any class.
EXCUSES NOT ACCEPTED! In the workforce if a medical professionalAll missed tests/quizzes/homework are to be made up as follows to receive a grade:
Missed Tests: made up the next day upon return to class unless extenuating circumstances are present due to excused absence
Missed quizzes: made up next day upon return to class; some quizzes cannot be made up such as movie quizzes or pop quizzes, if absence is unexcused a zero will be given
Homework: if student is absent homework should be turned upon return to class; homework given on day of excused absence will be due the following day after return to class or at teacher’s discretion; Homework may not be made up for unexcused absences and homework due on day of absence is considered late and will carry a 5 point deduction for each day past due date.
Work may only be made up for excused absences. If a medical professional is late with his/her work, a person could die! Late work is not accepted in college. These habits need to be developed in high school. Organizational skills are a must to be successful in the workforce! If you see you are having trouble completing an assignment, you need to come by or email me. With proper notice, we may be able to “reschedule a deadline” if deemed necessary by instructor.
DON’T GAMBLE ON EXTRA CREDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do not plan to pass this class by not completing assignments and then doing extra credit projects. I do not give extra credit except what appears on tests or is offered to the entire class on occasion.
