MAGAZINE COVER PROJECT

BULLOCK 40 POINTS

A.  COVER (10 points)

Design a magazine cover that has a picture of you on the front. You are on the cover of a nationally known magazine or journal (Time, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, etc.). The cover must include:

1.  Title of a magazine, journal or tabloid that you would be allowed to

read in school.

2.  The main headline must have your name in it.

3.  Date is 10 years from now. (2023)

4.  Include some “mini” headlines of other things going on in the magazine

(Cavs win their 4th straight NBA Championship!)

5.  Should be colorful & appealing to the eye.

B.  STORY (15 points)

A minimum of 1 full page typed (2 pages if hand written) story explaining why you are on the cover. Can be told in first person, 3rd person or as an interview. It must be a positive story. Proof read work-points deducted for spelling, punctuation, grammar errors, etc. (double space, 12 font, 1 inch margins)

C.  TIMELINE (10 points)

A ten year timeline with a detailed description of what you did each year from now until you made the cover. Each year should be different. Example:

2014-Freshman at Hudson HS, played 1st single JV team, attended HHS Tennis

Camp

2015-Sophomore at HHS, made Varsity, made 1st team All District in tennis.

Record 20-2

2016-Junior at HHS, took private lessons, attended Penn State camp & several

summer tournaments, State runner-up in doubles

2017-Senior at HHS, Won state singles championship-offered full ride to Penn

State.
