Job Description

Title:FundraisingDatabaseOfficer

Responsible to:Director of Fundraising

Main Purpose:Develop the fundraising database to ensure the charity complies with thenew data protection regulations (GDPR) whilst also maximising income raising opportunities.

Salary: £21 – 23k per annum pro rata (depending on experience)

Hours:Part time - 21 hrs

Location: Bradbury House, 190 Bagnall Road, Nottingham,

NG6 8SF

Contract type:12 months (initially)

Annual Leave:25 days per annum excluding bank holidays (pro rata)

Key Tasks:

Database Management:

  1. Support the fundraising team to develop,maintain and reviewRaisers Edge fundraising database and ensure the charity complies with the correct consent procedures.
  1. Lead on the preparation of a data cleanse and action following approval from Director of Fundraising.
  1. Effectively secure accurate data consent from existing charity supporters and new supporters.
  1. Using data segmentation techniques, support the Fundraising team to provide ongoing and proactive engagement with Headway supporters – assisting fundraising in increasing donations.
  1. Support the fundraising team with imports, exports and queries from the Raisers Edge database to produce reports for fundraising initiatives/ campaigns.
  1. Work with colleagues to support the implementation of a new fundraising database.To represent the needs of the Fundraising department whilst working in conjunction with other departments on the future database needs of the organisation.
  1. Provide regular verbal and written reports as required.
  1. Make a positive contribution to the fundraising team and maintain good relationships with colleagues and volunteers.
  1. Comply with Headway's Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety policies and undertake appropriate training and personal development as appropriate.
  1. Undertake such other reasonable tasks as may, from time to time, be deemed necessary.

Fundraising Database Officer

Person Specification

1Demonstratable knowledge and experience of using a CRM system ( Raisers Edge or similar)

2Strong analytical and administrative skills with experience in data management

3 A thorough understanding of Microsoft Office packages

4 Excellent attention to detail.

5Good communication skills

6Willing to undertake additional responsibilities in line with the development and needs of the charity.

7Positive attitude with a ‘can do’ approach and the ability to work under your own initiative.

8The ability to manage competing demands and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
