03-067-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, approves the Board Secretary’s (A148) Report and Treasurer’s (A149) Report for the month ending February 28, 2014.

03-068-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11(c) certifies that no major account or fund has been over-expended and that sufficient funds are available to meet the district’s financial obligations for the remainder of fiscal year 2013/14.

03-069-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, approves the payment of bills and claims, March 24, 2014, in the amount of $991,493.27.

03-071-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, approves the proposal from HQW Architects, LLC, to be responsible for the construction documents preparation, bid review/recommendation to award, and construction administration for the Phase II Window and Unit Ventilator Replacement Project, architectural fees $17,250 and $5,750 for bidding/award, and construction administration through project close-out.

03-072-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, approves the proposal from HQW Architects, LLC, to be responsible for the architectural/engineering design, construction documents, and specifications, for the Elementary School Security Door project, fee $4,500.

03-073-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to submit to the Executive County Superintendent a waiver of the requirements of N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-5.3 for the 2014/15 school year (Waiver of compliance regarding participation in the Special Education Medicaid Initiative (SEMI) Program, pursuant to the district’s projection of having fewer than 40 eligible classified students).

03-074-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools and SBA/Board Secretary, approves the withdrawal of $186,058 to support the Local Share of Project Costs associated with ROD Grant, State Project #2010—050-14-1002-G04, Phase II Replacement of Windows and Unit Ventilators, Local Share of FEC = $163,058, plus $23,000 Architectural/Engineering Services.

03-075-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the following Applications for Use of School Facilities:

HTRA Day Camp, use of two (2) classrooms and playground at Elementary School; and use of Gym, Art Room, Band Room, Nurse’s Office, Locker Rooms, Computer Labs, Music Room, Health Room (105), and cafeteria at Middle School; playing fields and playground areas and blacktop; for Harding Township Day Camp, from June 23 thru August 5, 2014, from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Girls-on-the-Run of NJ East Program, use of gym and/or field, from March 24 thru June 6, 2014, from 3:20pm to 4:45pm.

HTRA/Madison Little League, use of gym on March 17, 20, 24, 28, 31; April 4, 7, 11, 21, 25, 28; May 2, 2014, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

03-077-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, accepts the resignation of Allison Hunter from Peer Tutor, effective March 31, 2014.

03-078-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the following Extra-curricular assignment, at the indicated stipend:

Lauren Oles, Peer Tutor, stipend $873, effective April 1 thru June 30, 2014

03-079-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the following field trips:

Noodle Chu, Mandarian Restaurant, April 3, 2014, to practice conversational language in a social setting.

Kindergarten Orientation Bus Ride, April 30, 2014, local routes to familiarize students with appropriate bus behavior.

03-080-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the Marshall Model, for the 2014-2015 school year, for its teacher and principal evaluation instrument.

03-084-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the following certificated staff appointments:

Linda Padula, Guidance Counselor, Long Term Substitute for Maternity Leave, at per diem rate $274.20 (MA/Step 1), effective May 1 thru December 31, 2014, no benefits.

Judith Pierce, Substitute Teacher, $95.00 per diem, as needed, for the remainder of the 2013/14 school year.

03-085-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the following non-certificated staff appointments:

Raphaela Calabrese, Special Education Teaching Assistant, at an annual salary of $22,000, prorated to $7,197.85 effective March 25, 2014 thru June 30, 2014.

Heather Taylor, Secretary to Director of Student Services, at an annual salary of $42,627 (Step A, Secretary Guide), prorated to $9,591.07, effective April 9 thru June 30, 2014.

03-086-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, , approves Professional Development for Joseph Pitcher to attend Asbestos Safety Training, May 7-8, 2014, fee $395.00 for 2 days.
