HALE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT

NOTICE OF WORK SESSION

The Hale County Commissioners Court will meet in work session on Friday, February 9, 2018, in the Commissioners Workroom located on the first floor of the Hale County Courthouse, 500 Broadway Street, Plainview, Texas. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m.

This Notice is posted pursuant to the Texas Meeting Act (TEX.GOV’T CODE § 551.001 et seq.). In accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, we invite all attendees to advise us of any special accommodations needed because of a disability. Please submit your request at least 48 hours prior to the meeting you wish to attend. This facility is wheelchair accessible and handicapped parking is available on the south side of the building.

II.  Special called meeting – NOTE: THE COURT WILL TAKE ACTION REGARDING ITEMS IN THIS SECTION:

A.  Review and approval of payment of accounts payable as presented by the Hale County Treasurer and Auditor.

A.  Auditor’s report and deliberate on budget amendment items and line item transfers

C.  County Judge

1.  Consider a request from Jack Benham regarding Hale County’s interest in certain property in Bailey County.

2.  Consider a proposal for 2018 maintenance of trees, shrubs and grass from Roger Foote Lawn Care.

3.  Consider adopting an order setting reasonable regulations regarding electioneering on property owned or controlled by Hale County in accordance with Texas Election Code Title 6 Chapter 61.

4.  Consider approving the sale of tax deed trust property located in Hale Center, 602 Cleveland, CAD ID #17462, appraisal value $500.00 for a bid of $100.00

5.  Consider the following persons for reappointment to the Hale County Hospital Authority Board to serve a two (2) year term beginning April 1, 2018 and ending March 31, 2020; Kyle Benson, Sue Lewellen, Gary Massingill, Sharon Wright, Donald Dixon, and Tim Hardage. Each nominee has agreed to serve.

6.  Consider changing commissioners court meeting dates that conflict with approved holidays.

1.  Discuss the final price of the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe that will be purchased on Grant #3311401 for the Hale County Constable’s Office Pct. 3

1.  Present advertising information for the Outlook publication.

G.  Sheriff

1.  Review Mentalix Maintenance Agreement.

2.  Hale County pickup Vin #3GCPKREAXDG226174 and all emergency equipment except for radio, ie lights and siren, trade vehicle to Petersburg Police Dept., in return they will sell one of their police vehicles on auction and proceeds from that sell given to sheriff in return for pickup.

3.  The main radio antenna on tower at Hale Center is out, request replacing it and during this process replace the Hale Fire Antenna and both cables to console. Both cables have been there for over 25 years.

1.  Discussion of matters on the agenda for February 12, 2018, regular meeting of the Hale County Commissioners’ Court.

Pursuant to the authority granted under Government Code, Chapter 551, the Commissioners Court may convene a closed session to discuss any of the above agenda items. Immediately before any closed session, the specific section or sections of Government Code, Chapter 551 that provide statutory authority to convene a closed session will be announced.
