GYO 2011 Lincoln Center Concert (5/21) Ticket Sale Process

GYO 2011 Lincoln Center Concert (5/21) Ticket Sale Process

GYO Lincoln Center Concert, April 5, 2014

Ticket Sale Procedure

  • All seats in this concert are assigned. Each person entering the Alice Tully Hall requires a ticket.
  • Concert costs are as follows:
  • GYO Lincoln Center Concert Package (mandatory): $25 per family (this is the fair-share contribution to partially cover the production cost of the Lincoln Center Concert; this package includes a set of complimentary concert audio CDs);
  • Ticket Tiers:
  • $55 per ticket: first four rows and the last row in the orchestra level;
  • $55 per ticket: balcony and boxes;
  • $65 per ticket: orchestra level seats (except for the first four and the last rows).
  • 2/3/14 and 2/10/14: GYO will conduct a Ticket Sale Lottery during the scheduled rehearsal time; results of the lottery will determine the Processing Order in the Initial Ticket Sale for each family. (see below for details)
  • 2/3/14 and 2/10/14 GYO will distribute a Ticket Purchase Form during the Ticket Sale Lottery; the form will allow each family to (1) indicate number of tickets to purchase (4 tickets guarantee per family), (2) indicate seating preference (by prioritizing among a list of Seating Zones), (3) fill out a mailing label for the concert CD delivery, and (4) determine the estimated total purchase price.
  • 3/3/14 Due date for each family to send in their Ticket Purchase Form and a check to cover the estimated total purchase price. The form and the check can be turned in during the scheduled rehearsal time on

March 3 or mailed to GYO’s P.O. Box (postmarked by 3/3/14).

  • Week of 3/10/14, GYO volunteers will process the Ticket Purchase Forms in the order as determined by the Ticket Sale Lottery. At the time each Ticket Purchase Form is processed, GYO volunteers will attempt to assign the “best available” seats according to the prioritized seating preference indicated in the form.
  • 3/24/14: GYO will distribute all the tickets from the Initial Ticket Sale during the scheduled rehearsal time. All tickets will need to be picked up at this time. GYO will not distribute any ticket at the Lincoln Center on the concert date.
  • 3/24/14 and 3/31/14: Any remaining tickets after the Initial Ticket Sale will be available to all GYO families to purchase, without purchase limit, during the scheduled rehearsal time on a first-come first-serve basis.

About Ticket Sale Lottery

  • On 2/3/14, GYO musicians may come by the front desk before/ after/ during the break of their scheduled rehearsal to draw a lottery ticket. The number on the ticket is the Processing Order number for the Initial Ticket Sale. Each musician will write down her/his name on the ticket drawn and return the ticket to the GYO volunteers in exchange for a Ticket Purchase Form. The GYO volunteers will record the Processing Order number drawn and write it on the Ticket Purchase Form before handing out to the musician.
  • Each musician can draw a lottery ticket. However, each family can turn in only one Ticket Purchase Form (preferably the one with the smallest/earliest Processing Order number), if there are multiple musicians in the same family.
  • If a musician is not present for the drawing on the 2/3/14 a ticket will be drawn for him / her by one of the Board members of GYO.
