Visa requirements
for the Republic of Congo-Brazzaville
All applicants must have:
· An onward & return ticket to the country of residence or to the UK.
· An up-to-date appropriate vaccinations – namely (Yellow fever, Cholera and Tetanus – Malaria prevails – please check with your GP or Local Medical Centre for up to date information)
· A valid passport with at least 6 months validity at time of travel. This depends on length of visa.
All travellers including citizens from Congo-Brazzaville with duel nationality choosing to travel on other passports than the Congolese one – require a visa.
The following do not require a visa - 1) Nationals of Congo-Brazzaville
VISA REQUIREMENTS for BUSINESS and TOURIST VISA.
1. 1(one) visa application form duly completed.
2. 1(one) recent photograph.
3. 1(one) valid Passport. (Must have 2 adjacent blank pages for visa).
BUSINESS VISA:
4. A letter from the employer, on headed paper, addressed to the Honorary Consulate
MUST STATE all of the following :
· Full names of the employee, his/her nationality and passport number
· Job title, purpose of travel, length of visa required and date of arrival in Congo-Brazzaville, name of Company you will be visiting/working for, brief summary of works to be carried out.
· The employer’s full responsibilities of the employee, including repatriation in case of emergency.
5. ‘Certificat D’Hebergement’(Certificate of Accommodation) from Congo-Brazzaville stating details of inviting Company Name, Company Stamps, etc (must provide 2 copies, one will be certified and must be carried with you whilst travelling)
TOURIST VISA:
1. A Lodging Certificate (Certificat d’ Hebergement) provided by relatives or
Friends in Congo-Brazzaville and authorised by City Hall or the Immigration
Authorities is required, (this Certificat must be provided, if born in DRC (Kinshasa)
OR
2. Copy of Hotel reservation Detailed Itinerary of trip (including official confirmation from Dep of Congo) ( require 2 copies of above )
RESEARCH & FILMING
Business visa conditions apply.
In addition, all journalists, photojournalists, researchers, cameramen, producers must obtain a written permission to film or carry out their duties in the country provided by the relevant Ministries in Brazzaville, before entering the country. You are also required to provide a list of all filming equipment. This must be certified by the Consulate and carried at all times.
If travelling overland by motor vehicle or motorcycle, you must provide a detailed itinerary of your journey, along with the “Carnet de Passages en Douane”, this is obtained through the RAC / AA in the UK.
BUSINESS & TOURIST VISA CHARGES:
All visas are issued with multiple entry:
· 15 days (minimum) GBP 75.00
· 30 days GBP 120.00
· 60 days GBP 150.00
· 90 days GBP 180.00
· 180 days GBP 300.00
· 1 Year GBP 550.00
· Fees payable in cash only, receipt given.
NOTICE
· Once visa has been issued, it cannot be amended or be extended after expiry date. A new visa application is required.
· Taking photographs of any military establishments, airports and government owned buildings is forbidden, unless authorised by written permission by the relevant government departments.
· If you are applying for your visa by post – please do so by using Royal Mail Special Delivery you must enclose with your application, a prepaid Special Delivery SAE. Payment is made by postal order for the value of visa required. Payable to ‘Consulate of Congo Brazzaville’,for UK only.

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION
The Honorary Consulate is open from Monday to Friday : 10.30 hrs to 15.00 hrs ( Except on British Public Holidays and on Congo-Brazzaville’s Independence Day – August 15th) .Please note last lodging of visa application is at 2.00pm. Please note same day visa service is no longer available, next day service only.
We do not send invoices for visa charges to individuals or companies. All visas must be paid in cash when applying for the visa. We do not accept credit cards or cheques.
Companies or Travel Agents may apply on behalf or their employees/clients. In doing so, they take full responsibilities for the applicant(s) application. Please call us before sending any express or/ Royal Mail Special Delivery. This applies to the UK only. We do not accept any International Couriers, you must use an agent in the UK to apply on your behalf.
All information provided is free of charge by email. Please send us a self addressed envelope, should you wish to receive application form/s. We do accept photocopied application forms. No information is provided over the telephone in order to avoid misunderstanding.
