Guest lecture on “Metro Rail Project at Nagpur” in Civil Engineering Dept., GHRCE
A guest lecture on “An Introduction to Upcoming Metro Rail Project at Nagpur” is carried out in Civil Engineering Department, GHRCE, Nagpur on 21st Jan. 2016 (Thursday). The lecture was conducted under the banner of ACCE.
Dr. Kapil Chandrayan, Consultant, Nagpur Metro rail Project has introduced the concept and technical details of the project through ppt and Mr. Shirish Aapte, Director General Manager Public Relation, Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation has carried out the session of questionnaire.
“Nagpur metro will cover every corner of the Nagpur through North-South & East- West corridor. Those who cannot directly reach to the stations, feeder bus services also provided by the rail corporation”, stated by Dr. Kapil Chandrayan. The technical concept about the execution of project was also discussed by the team.
The burning issue of employability also discussed in the lecture where around 1700 people directly required for operation of metro rail, briefed by Mr. Shirish Aapte.
Students of 6th sem and 4th sem of Civil Engineering get benefitted through the session and the team of metro rail has appealed to students to join the Metro Rail project through the website, facebook, twitter.
Prof. S. P. Abhyankar anchored the programme. Dr. P. Y. Pawade, Professor & Head, Dr. B. V. Khode, Prof. M. P. Bhorkar, Prof. P. B. Patil, Prof. I. P. Khedikar were accompanied the lecture.
“Psychological Counseling ” in Civil Engineering Dept., GHRCE
An interactive psychological counseling session of sixth semester section A was carried out in Civil Engineering Department, GHRCE, Nagpur on 22st Jan. 2016 (Friday) in S-06.
Ms. Renu Khublani, psychological counselor of college conducted the session. Two topics were specifically covered including the need of psychological counseling in education sector and the six quotients that count. The six quotients include creativity, emotional, grooming,humor, Intelligence and social quotient important from health as well as campus point of view. Fourty eight students were benefited.
Dr. P. Y. Pawade, Professor & Head had given guidance for the same. Prof. Isha. P. Khedikar were organized the session.
Department of Civil Engineering of G. H. R. C. E., Nagpur has organized a visit to Exhibition on Raman Science Center, Nagpur under the banner of Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India)
Department of Civil Engineering. of G. H. R. C. E., Nagpur has organized a visit to Raman Science Center, Nagpur under the banner of Association of Consulting for Civil Engineers (India) for Fourth semester (Section A & B) on 25th January, 2016.The students were able to understand the use of water and its management if the atmosphere is delayed and erasing the arrival of Monsoon which is created huge problems for the people at large including farmers, villagers and cattles. The overall ratio of rainfall vs conservation of water is pathetic in India. The current ratio of rainfall vs conservation is less than 30% and it is pertinent to conserve water at all level. This visit is organized under the guidance of Mr. K.K.Marathe, Director, Centre for Rural Welfare, Nagpur. It was very beneficial visit for students and enhanced their knowledge regarding the processes in the subject Environmental Engineering & Fluid Mechanics. 69 students were present in this visit. Head of Department Dr.P.Y.Pawade was provided the necessary guidance. The site visit is executed by Prof. S.D.Ghodmare, Prof. V.K.Gajghate, Prof. Manish Bavankule, Prof. Nilam Dashottar Asst Prof. from Civil Engineering Department.
