Inter School Quiz Competition on 12thOctober ’2012 at I.T.S Mohannagar-UG Campus
ITS Mohan Nagar UG Campus organizes 2ndInter school Quiz competitionamong the top notch schools from Delhi & NCR for 11th& 12thStandard Students on 12thOct 2012, certainly an event to be remembered as conjoined participation of brightest minds. Energy, enthusiasm & vibrancies marked the event as it kicked off in the morning with huge registrations from all over schools of Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad followed by an inaugural ceremony. Guest of Honor- Dr. R.B.L Goswami in his address during inaugural ceremony addressed that in today’s scenario, it is very important for the students to have a strong general awareness base & such competitions play a significant role in overall development of students. A preliminary round among 90 schools out of 101 schools conducted along with Tea break.
Under his quizzing prowess-Kunal Sarvarkar, a renowned Quiz master from Quiz Craft Event and Communications(P) Ltd, conducted quiz thrivingly,this kept the audience & the teams at the edge of their seats. By noon the event was in full swing with 18 teams as Semi-Finalists from three semifinal rounds. At the close of the second semi final round, individuals headed outdoors for the lunch break which included great food. As people made their way back to the auditorium after the lunch break, third semi final round and final round of 6 teams was held in the auditorium in a flurry of buzzers & flashing lights. The crowd energized each of the finalist as they were loudly applauded for their out of the box skills.
St. Paul’s Academy, Ghaziabad lifted the trophy as winner, Vivekanand School, Block-D Anand Vihar bagged second position ASN Sr. Sec School, Delhi with DPS Indirapuramas third prize winner, shared the position.
The crowd cheered the winners and runners alike as the proud recipients walked away with the prizes presented by the guests of the occasion.
Chief Guest- Mr. Karmendra Singh appreciated the efforts of the participants and blessed them. All the dignitaries appreciated students for their performance & wished them all the best for the future.
This quiz contest enjoyed unprecedented public support and has turned itself into a major mega event.The event was coordinated by Prof. Nancy Sharma with a joint effort of all the UG Faculty Members & Staff.
