Registration fee is $110 (your balance owed will be $540). The entire trip cost (excluding airfare & evening meals) is $650. Airfare will be approximately $800 per person.

Manna Travel FAQ’s

  • Who may participate on a Manna Trip?
  • Trips are open to everyone 18 years of age or older. Minors between the ages of 14 and 18 may join on a trip provided they are accompanied by a gender compatible parent.
  • What type of accommodations will we stay in?
  • The Manna Hotel – Manna stays in predefined establishments that are clean, comfortable, and safe. The Hotel does have free Wi-Fi. (If you want phone service, check with your own carrier for plan options.)
  • Do I need a passport?
  • Yes. For more information on how to acquire a pass port go to
  • Cost for Passport book is $110 – will require a certified birth certificate or another accepted form of ID.
  • It will take approximately 6 weeks to receive your passport – if needed faster, there is an expedited service available for an additional $60.
  • Will I need immunizations?
  • Not for Guatemala
  • Should I purchase travel medical insurance?
  • No, travel medical insurance policy is included in the cost of your trip. Trip cancellation insurance is not included in the cost of the tip. If desired, you may purchase an additional travel medical or cancellation insurance policy.
  • What is the cost of the trip? (budget $1600 per person)
  • Manna registration is $650 ($110 at time of registration and balance of $540 due prior to trip) – this covers lodging, ground transportation, travel insurance, breakfast & lunch
  • Airfare will be the cost at time of purchase – currently running $800 per person
  • Additional money will be needed for souvenirs, snacks, tips for hotel employees, love offering for our missionary, and evening meals (suggested minimum $200)
  • What is the weather like in Guatemala in October?
  • Average temps in Guatemala City are highs in the mid-70’s and lows in the low-60’s.
  • Temperatures in Rama Blanca will be hot and humid
  • Temperatures in higher elevations will be cooler – light jacket could be needed
  • October is the rainy season so should be prepared for afternoon rain showers – rain jacket & cap.
  • What are the dress requirements?
  • Be modest but comfortable in selecting wardrobe for the trip – jeans, long shorts & skirts (at or below the knee), no sleeveless shirts or t-shirts with inappropriate slogans. When visiting some of the villages men will be required to dress in long pants (jeans are acceptable).
  • Do no bring expensive jewelry on the trip.
  • Shoes – comfortable for walking and some locations closed toed (no sandals) will be required due to ground contaminants.
  • Do I need to be able to speak Spanish?
  • Spanish is the primary language spoken in Guatemala. Knowing Spanish is helpful but not at all required. The App Duolingo is a fun free tool that you can download to learn basic Spanish words such as foods, animals, basic phrases and simple verbs

February25th – Chuck will be speaking at C3 during both services.

March 1st – registration completed and Manna deposit paid.

April/May (date TBD) – After church lunch fundraiser (more information to follow)

July – Team meeting (date TBD)

August – Team meeting (date TBD)

September 2nd -- Team meeting right after second service (balance for Manna is due)

October 6th– Bonfire (hotdogs and s’mores)

October 13th – Travel to Guatemala City (Flight times TBD)

October 20th – Return Home (Flight times TBD)
