July 13-14, 2012 / Clubs billed for their portion for GRSP Student. Invoice sent to Club Presidents. Please make sure that this gets to your club Treasurer.
SUMMER TRUSTEES’ MEETING
Lake Blackshear Resort and Country Club, Cordele GA / Presidents, our clubs have the option of paying ½ in July and the remainder in December. Invoices must be paid by Jan.1st to be eligible for club association to select the next year’s student at the January meeting in Savannah.
Trustees travel to Cordele for Summer meeting. Anticipated among the weekend discussion ---- raising the amount the endowment contributes to the student cost, currently $4,100 per student. / Clubs will need to review the dorm items that need replacement.

August 2012 / GRSP CLASS OF 2012-2013 STUDENTS ARRIVE IN GEORGIA
Alexandra will arrive several weeks prior to acclimate and visit before starting classes at Reinhardt on August 20th. See 2012-2013 Academic Calendar / We will welcome Alexandra to Georgia on her arrival at the Atlanta airport. John and Donna Longino, , are our Host Family, and will lead a welcoming group to welcome Alexandra, , to Atlanta. Bob will communicate arrival date as soon as we are confirmed of travel. / Clubs may obtain a flag of Columbia to display during the year.
August 24-26, 2012 / GRSP CONCLAVE – Clayton, Georgia
“What is Conclave?" Conclave affords students and Rotarians the opportunity to meet and learn about each other as the students begin their GRSP year. It’s not just for students. It’s something all Georgia Rotarians can take part in with pride. Simply put, Conclave is an event you don’t want to miss. / Students are introduced to their fellow class and begin their commitment as the GRSP class of 2012-13. It is by far a one of the best student weekends for students and Rotarians. Students typically perform a talent show for Rotarian and guests. GRSP Chairs and Club Presidents are encouraged to attend. STUDENT WEEKEND – Clayton County R/C - “Maynard Knestrick Memorial Weekend”

Local transportation needed…. This is a good opportunity for club members to get to know their student. Club Rotarians are encouraged to arrange to deliver on Friday or pick up on Sunday and schedule a breakfast on the way, or afternoon event and dinner before taking Alexandra back to Reinhardt…… please contact John or Bob for scheduling a specific date.

STUDENT WEEKEND – Savannah Area Rotary Clubs – “Hue Thomas Jr. Weekend”

First club visits to sponsoring clubs – /

Students form 6910 travel by bus to Savannah. Typically leaves a local church parking lot in Conyers around 10am, and returns Sunday around 2pm. Transportation needed from Reinhardt to Conyers Friday morning and back on Sunday. Clubs need to budget for up to three bus trips for the year. Cost has increased due to rising gas process --- typically $125/per trip, cost distributed to clubs on the same per member cost formula.

Coordinate with club program chairs, host and trustee for scheduling Alex. / Transportation to Conyers to catch bus.
