Welcome Group Study Exchange Team from District 1250 – Southern England
The approximately 2900 Rotarians in District 5060 are honoured and delighted to welcome you to our international district of 61 club in central Washington, USA, and south central British Columbia, Canada.
I feel certain you will enjoy each unique area of this very beautiful District: its mountains, lakes, rivers, orchards, vineyards and its pleasant towns and cities. Your program will include a variety of cultural and vocational visits pluslots of recreation. And you will meet and be hosted by many fine Rotarians.
We look forward to you joining us at our District Conference which is being held this year in MosesLake in WashingtonState, May 20-23. In the meantime, enjoy and learn about the wonders of our District.
Wayne Rimple
District Governor 5060
Welcome to District 5060
The Group Study Exchange (GSE) program is designed to foster international understanding and goodwill.
Our Rotary District is unique in that it encompasses two countries and coves 550 miles (890 kilometres). We have tried to include as much as possible in the time available. You will gain an insight into the lifestyle and culture of both countries, highlighting the similarities and differences. You will experience the diversity of the landscape, as you go from the lush cedar forests of the Revelstoke area to the warm arid hills and beautiful orchards and vineyards of the southern parts of the District.
Our team of coordinators has worked very hard in preparing both an enjoyable and educational visit for you. It is our hope that all your expectations and hopes for the visit are realized.
On behalf of all the Rotarians in District 5060, we welcome you and look forward to getting to know you better.
Enjoy your visit,
Kathy Butler
Chair, District 5060 Group Study Exchange
