POSITION PURPOSE

The As an HR Advisor you will work within a portfolio, ing, forming relationships with a key area of the business. , while working as a team You will manage and deliver priorities across a breadth of HR, which may includeincluding advising on employment terms and conditions, remuneration, employment relations, job sizing and position creation, staff engagement and performance management advice and coaching.
You will work collaboratively with others to solve problems and have a strong customer focus. As an HR Advisor you s will play an important role in the future design of foundational HR processes, policies, materials and the HR service approach at Oranga Tamariki.
, purpose of this role is to help our team to deliver on our people strategy by providing advisory services to the wider people & leadership team and deliver an exceptional employee experience across Oranga Tamariki. This role will be involved in range of tools and services such as supporting organisational change, policy refresh, ER and IR support as well as providing day to day support and advice to our managers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Result area / Key Accountabilities
P&LHR Advisor / -Work collaboratively with other members of the team to pProvide high level generalist HR advice and support to managers and staff in Oranga Tamarikithat is timely, lawful and consistent with our people strategy.
-Provide back-up recruitment advisory as required.
-Become familiar with organisational data to inform your advice, including turnover and leave statisticsImplement a process and service to understand turnover in critical roles.
-
-Provide generalist HR advice and support that is timely, lawful, and consistent with our people strategyFoster a continuous improvement culture across the team and lead improvements to HR processes to achieve gains in effectiveness and efficiency.
-Support projects and activities as well as delivering on day-to-day work that could include the whole range of P&L functions.
-Work collaboratively with other people,and in the team to support key team objectives being achieved and share information and support proactivelyshare own experience and learnings and teach specific technical skills to team members.
-Ensure our collateral supports the experience we want to provide and the OrangaTamariki way.
-Provide appropriate information to other Government Agencies for surveys/reports.
-Promote and role model the values and goals for OrangaTamariki including good employer principles and practices and expected high standards of integrity, ethics and behaviour in all operations of OrangaTamariki.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications / -A qualification in Human Resources or related discipline is desirable
Experience / -Previous experience in HR, or related field at an advisory level
-Experience of being adept at managing multiple and prioritizing the demands of a diverse range of stakeholders
-Excellent customer focus – you’ll delight in anticipating and meeting customer and Business Partner needs and be a superb relationship managerneeds
-Detailed kKnowledge of current NZ employment law and HR practices and can relate this to an organisational context
Skills / -Sound judgement and uses approaches that are appropriate for the situation
-Discretion is your middle-name, you know what is and is not appropriate to share with others
-Tech savvy, able to use Microsoft Office suite of programmes with advance Excel skills a bonus
-Awesome communications skills tailored for your audience – you can convey information and ideas clearly to a broad range of people
-Incredible organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, and work to tight and competing deadlines
