ATHENS

Sept 20 – Plaka with Dinner – Sample a glass of ouzo and enjoy a Greek style, 4 course dinner, with drinks included, at a taverna in the festive Plaka district. Folk dances put you in that special mood reminiscent of Zorba the Greek.

Sept 27 – Farewell – Greek Dinner by the Sea – Don’t miss the chance to admire the illuminated harbor of Microlimano. It is said this port was protected by the goddess Mounihia Artemis, which is why it is sometimes referred to as the Port of Muniha.. Later drive to the yachting marina, a perfect place to enjoy your 4 course dinner, with drinks, at one of the city’s finest restaurants.

MYKONOS

Sept 22 - Excursion to Agia Anna Beach in Kalafati and Ano Mera with Lunch -Today drive to the beautiful Agia Anna Beach in Kalafati, located in the southeast part of the island. This area of the island is a change of pace from the cosmopolitan bustle of Mykonos Town. It is the only beach on the southern side of Mykonos that is sheltered from the winds, so sit back and relax on your sunbed for a couple of hours and admire the view of the crystal clear blue-green water. Later, visit Ano Mera, the second largest village on the island and the most populated village on the island. You will have time to explore the several scattered settlements with the Cloister in the center and the Panagia Tourliani Monastery (15th century AC) named after the dome (tourlos in the Mykonian dialect) of the church, which is also the name of an Icon of Virgin Mary. This Icon is believed to be blessed or miraculous, as most people say in Greece, and many go there to pray. Later enjoy a lunch in the main square with traditional homemade Greek food

Sept 23 - The Ancient, Sacred Island of Delos – Join your local guide on a visit of the island of Delos, the sacred island of the Ancient Greek, which according to mythology, was revealed among the waves of the Agean sea to Leto, who was chased by the jealous Hero and was the refugee where she gave birth to Apollo and Artemis. The island is located in the hearth of the Cyclades, in the Aegean sea and due to its mystical location, it became home to the first multicultural civilization and was an important trade center in Ancient Greece. Stroll across the Agora market place, the famous Terrace of the Naxos Lions, the Sacred Lake, living quarters, and a theatre, all giving you an idea of daily life during that early period. Also see the Houses of Dionysos, Cleopatra, the Trident, the Masks, the Dolphins, the Temple of the Egyptian goddess Isis, the Roman water system and cisterns, and a wonderful museum with many breathtaking mosaics, statues and objects found during archaeological excavations. A light Greek snack is included.

SANTORINI

Sept 26 - Akrotiri Tour: Explore the Lost City of Atlantis - Join your expert local guide on a tour of the archaeological excavation site known as Akrotiri a fascinating site on the island of Santorini. This Bronze Age settlement, from the 3rd millennium BC was destroyed in 1450 BC due to a massive volcanic eruption and was buried in volcanic ash. Nowadays the picturesque streets, the two- story buildings, the local frescoes and plenty of tools witness the ways of life in the prehistoric time. It is also known as the possible inspiration behind Plato's story of Atlantis, the legendary island first mentioned in the author's dialogues Timaeus and Critias, written in 360 BC. According to Plato, Atlantis was a naval power lying "across the Pillars of Hercules" that conquered many parts of Western Europe and Africa. After a failed attempt to invade Athens, Atlantis sank into the ocean "in a single day and night of misfortune

Sept 26 - Excursion to Oia Village and Sunset - Travel to the unique village of Oia at the tip of northern Santorini. Also built on the steep slope of the caldera, many of its dwellings are built into niches in the volcanic rock. Charming houses on narrow streets, blue-domed churches, and two-story mansions painted in a spectrum of pastel colors are a photographer's dream. Time to relax and enjoy the spectacular panorama and sunset

Sept 26 -Cruise to Santorini's Volcanoes and Hot Springs - Travel by cable car from Fira to the port of Athinios and board a traditional caique (wooden boat) for a cruise around the Nea Kameni volcano, the "newer" of the two small islands of lava in the basin of Santorini. Take a walk to the top of the island with your guide and learn its history. Later, time to swim in the warm water heated by the hot springs on the sea floor. Swimsuit and towel required.
