Scholarship Application
Who should apply?
Any students entering college intending to enter a field of study that positively impacts the mission and vision of the PTA may apply. The mission and vision are, simply:
“To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and
empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.”
What is the process?
Fill out this application, attach your transcript, and submit to your college and career counselor, by no later than Friday, March 9, 2018, to allow them time to get the applications to PTA by the March 16, 2018 deadline. If you become a finalist based on your application, PTA will set up an interview with you as the final qualifying step.
What factors does PTA consider in awarding the scholarships?
We look at the quality of the entire application. We do look at GPA and SAT/ACT scores, but we also consider the activities in which the applicant is involved, the quality of the essay, and the content of the input from the recommendations included.
