Great Expectations: Final Project

Due date: 11/20/15 and 12/1/15

Choose one of the following options or have an original project idea approved by Miss Yost.

•Make a product that is based on the ideas/symbols in the novel, and create a magazinead for the product.

•Make a commercial that advertises a product that is based on a symbol or motif in the novel.

•Make a movie trailer for a film based on the novel.

•Illustrate a quotation.Choose what you consider to be one of the most significant quotes in the novel in termsof theme, motif, character development, etc. Then, write an essay (no longer than one and a half pages, double-spaced) that analyzes the quote.

•Photoshopa picture (or create your own art) that illustrates both settingandsymbolism. Write a paragraph on the back of the artwork,explaining your artistic choices.

•Makean original book cover for Great Expectations. It must include: title, author, book jacket synopsis, andcritical review.

100 pointsare possible (and worth TWO project grades) based on:

•Time, effort, and creativity reflected in the project (33 points)

•Relevance tothe novel (33 points)

•Evidence of insightful/analytical reading (33 points)
