From late2017, the Yackandandah Community Centrewill beprovidinggrant funding to the local community for initiatives up to a maximum of $3,000.Please note that the Yackandandah Community Centre does not provide recurrent funding for projects.
These grants are for initiatives which have the potential to make a contribution to the Yackandandah Community. We provide seed funding to projects that build capacity and help create structural change and have the potential to continue after the funding period.
Please refer to the attached criteria prior to submitting your application. More information about this grants program can be found on our website

Grants for the Yackandandah Community 2017

The criteria for the Yackandandah Community Centre Grants for 2017 are:

1)Yackandandah Community Centre is looking for projects that help realise their current Strategic Plan (2016-2021) and priority will be given to those that nurture:

  1. Well-being and personal development, and create opportunities for innovation and new ways of doing things.
  2. Diversity and social inclusion, for example bycelebrating our cultural diversity, building the community awareness of Yackandandah’s indigenous history and providing equal opportunities for all.
  3. Environmental, social and economic sustainability, by modelling principles of sustainability to the broader community, developing projects that are based on current climate science, helping to secure the economic future of Yackandandah, and encouraging community self-reliance and resilience.

2)Applicants need to outline their evaluation strategy and make it clear how outcomes will be measured.

3)Applicants must be a legal entity (incorporated association or company) or be auspiced by an appropriate organisation.

4)The Yackandandah Community Centre prioritises projects that require seed funding and have potential to help build on-going capacity and to create structural change.

5)The GrantsCommittee must be satisfied that the applicant organisation has the competency and capacity to implement the project.

Ineligibility:

The Yackandandah Community Centre does not fund:

  • The core operating costs of an existing organisation
  • Vehicles
  • Individuals acting without the support of an auspicing organisation
  • General fundraising appeals
  • Food parcels, crisis or emergency responses to homelessness
  • Deficit funding
  • Projects that will rely on recurrent funding from the Yackandandah Community Centre.
  • Other philanthropic foundations
  • Projects that do not meet the identified criteria and priority goals of the Yackandandah Community Centre.

The Yackandandah Community Centre will only accept one application per organisation in any given year.

All applications are assessed in line with the grants criteria and prioritised. Unfortunately, due to funding constraints, we are unable to fund all applications that meet the criteria.
