AIR Grants Program

Grant Acquittal Report

STREAM 2

(For projects undertaken in 2012)

An acquittal is a written account of how funds received for a particular purpose have been spent. It should be completed by the AIR Project Management Team ie. the arts organisation representative(s) AND in collaboration with the Project Coordinator(s) of the school(s) involved in the delivery of the funded AIR Grants Program STREAM 2 project.

It is a legal requirement for the Department of Culture and the Arts (DCA), Department of Education (DoE) and the Australia Council for the Arts (Australia Council) to obtain acquittals from all individuals, groups and organisations in receipt of Federal funds through the AIR Grants Program.[1]

Acquittals should be received within 13 weeks of the completion of the AIR project or activity. Failure to provide an acquittal makes an individual, group, school or organisation ineligible for future financial assistance.

This acquittal report contains the following sections:

1.  General Information

2.  Project Outline and Measures

3.  Education Report

4.  Artistic Report

5.  Public Outcomes

6.  Financial Report – Acquittal Budget

Please try to ensure that the information you provide is as accurate as possible. You may find that some of the questions are not applicable to your project. If so, please write N/A.

In the future years of the AIR Grants Program ArtsEdge would like to support schools and artists to better share the lessons they have learned through the AIR projects they undertake. In order to do this we need your permission to make this information public so that others may access and learn from it. It was a requirement in your original application that information on your project would be made available for reporting and promotional purposes. At the end of the acquittal form following you will again need to reaffirm your understanding of this requirement by signing the declaration form. Should you wish certain information to remain confidential please indicate this on your form.

Normal financial accountability applies; while it isn’t necessary to provide us with copies of project documentation such as receipts, etc, such documentation should be kept for at least 12 months after the project has concluded. In some cases, we may need to look at this documentation for auditing or other purposes. Any unused grant funds must be returned to DoE.
