Carole Stewart, LBE Assistant Director, will give a presentation on arts and culture work by the Council and partnership work with VCS groups.

Followed by questions and answers.

4. LBE COMMUNITY SAFETY AND EX-OFFENDERS WORK

Jess Murray from LBE will give a presentation on community safety and ex-offenders work by the Council and partnership work with VCS groups.

Dee Khan from GOYA will give a report back from the Ealing Ex-Offender Forum.

Followed by questions and answers.

Irfan Arif to report on the West London Hate Crime Project and on the West London BME and Faith Group Forum.

5. NEW FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

Andy Roper to update on:

  • VCScommissioning around Mental Health
  • New commissioning around home care services, independent advocacy and care navigators
  • New grant round on physical disabilities
  • Decisions by LBE on General/BME Advice Contract
  • Additional LBE Commissioning around the Care Act

John Blackmore to update on funding via the London EU ESF programme, including BME women, refugees and lone parents.

Update on Ealing Advice Forum.

6. Latest LBE Budget Cuts

Andy Roper to report on the latest cuts proposals by LBE and the potential impact on VCS groups.

7. BETTER VCS STATS

Laura Ferreira to give a presentation on the new ‘Ealing VCS Stats Bank’ providing free VCS stats which local groups can use for funding bids and business plans.

8. PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT BY SMALL BME AND SMALL HEALTH GROUPS

Through the LBE Transition Fund ECN had a commissioning process for lead organisations for a six month programme to support increased partnership work by (a) small BME groups and (b) small health groups. A number of applications were received and an ECN Panel awarded both commissions to a consortium led by Southall Community Alliance.

Under the commission SCA will organise partnership events for both small BME and small health groups and by March submit at least one external funding bid involving small BME groups and one involving small health groups.

10. FEEDBACK FROM ELECTED REPS

ECN has elected new reps on a number of partnership boards. An opportunity for elected reps to give feedback from their first meetings.

11. ELECTION OF VCS REPS TO LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS

ECN has 5 VCS reps (in addition to the ECN Chair and Vice-Chairs) on the LBE ECN CCG Strategic VCS Panel.

This meets 4 times per year and is an important body in coordinating strategic policy and partnership work with the VCS across all LBE Departments and with Ealing CCG.

Election of 5 reps will take place at the end of the meeting. Candidate statements will be available at the meeting.

12. FUTURE TOPICS, SPEAKERS FOR ECN GENERAL MEETINGS

An opportunity for ECN member groups to suggest topics and speakers for future meetings.

Andy Roper to report on new VCS Liaison Meetings with local MPs.

13. NEW MEMBERS

Natasha Mayger to report any new ECN membership requests.
