Social Chair
Thank you for your interest in becoming the GSG Social Chair.
The Social Committee is responsible for fostering a sense of community among graduate students within the Creighton University Graduate Program through various social activities.
The Social Chair shall serve a term of one calendar year starting January and lasting until December. Applicants should not apply if graduating before December.
GSG applicants must be in good disciplinary and academic standing with the Graduate School.
The Social Chair will receive a stipend for their service to the GSG.
TheGraduate Student Government is made up of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, CSU Representative, Service Chair, Social Chair, and Student Life Chair.
Committee Chairs shall:
- Attend all GSG All Member Meetings.
- Committee chairs shall miss no more than 1 GSG All Member Meeting per semester.
- Support the events, activities, and traditions of the students and the university through participation and attendance.
- Each committee chair shall attend all GSG events planned by their committee.
- Have the option to serve on ad-hoc committees of the GSG.
- Represent the concerns and issues of the graduate student body.
- Uphold the mission of Creighton University and advocate the rights of the graduate students.
- Propose resolutions and acts for the GSG.
- Form committees made up of Creighton graduate students. Committees will consist of a minimum of 3 members
- Schedule and attend committee meetings a minimum of once per month
- Plan a minimum of 2 events in the fall and spring semesters and 1 event in the summer semester.
- Committee chairs shall send the minutes from their committee meetings to the Vice President
