- / Students participate in the “Getting to Know You” game.
  1. Ms. Solomon gives each student a card face down.
  2. Students turn card over and match up their card with its partner card (such as “Luke Skywalker” with “light saber”). Problem solving the connection that each pairing has in common. Students place paired cards on the board and move next to the person who has their card’s pair card.
  3. Student pairs are each given a “Getting to Know You” sheet.
  4. Student pairs interview each other.
  5. Student pairs present each other to the class. In larger classes, not everyone presents. Just those who want to.
