3D Design

(Sculpture)

This art course is designed to introduce students to techniques and media in three-dimensional art. Some of the areas the student will explore are carving, molding, modeling, and assemblage.

Grading Policy: Grading Scale:

Assignments: 80% of final grade 90 - 100% = 1

Lab: 20% of final grade 80 - 89% = 2

70 - 79% = 3

60 - 69% = 4

0 - 59% = 5

Make-up Work:

All projects are due on the date given by the teacher. Students are responsible for obtaining and completing make-up work when they are absent. A ONE WEEK grace period is given after the due date to complete and turn in assignments and/or make up tests or quizzes. Students should make arrangements to come in during EOP or any day after school to work on make-up work. Class time may not be possible if we have moved on to a new project.

Bonus Points:

Some projects include the opportunity for extra points. Students who turn in these completed projects on the date due will receive (10) bonus points

District Assessment in 3D Design: (PBA)

Students are required to keep a portfolio as well as develop and complete a substantial project during the 3rd quarter using criteria/theme/emphasis set by the district for the current year. A required written component is also included. The work will be evaluated by the district as part of the assessment process.

Discipline / Consequences:

Classroom Violations (6 steps) Form will be implemented.

Student conduct is of utmost importance in a lab class environment where we will be using sharp instruments, power tools, paints, inks, glue and adhesives!
