1. Introduction

The main function of Automated Transcoding Manager (Gorilla ATM) is to transcode high resolution media files into Mpeg-2 LGOP files for Master Control Room playout.

Gorilla ATMmonitors designed folders to automatically covert incoming digital media files from one format to another. Besides transcoding for Master Control Room playout, it alsosupports lots of broadcasting industry common media formatstranscoding and fully integrates with Gorilla MAM and Tiered Archiving.

2. Interface

Gorilla ATM software interface:

Before start using Gorilla ATM, you must completethe following configurations:

[Input folder] : click “Browse” to select the source file folder

[Output folder] : click “Browse” to select the output file folder

[Temporal folder] : click “Browse” to select local hard disk drivetemporal folder

[Station ID] :define ATM Station ID, each ATM station ID should be unique

[Max Jobs] : definehow many jobs will be processedsimultaneously

[Copy Source to local] :if “Yes”, source file will fully copy to local hard disk drivefirst and then Gorilla ATM starts to convert media file in the local temporary folder

[Copy Output to Destination] :if “Yes”, will create output file in the local temporary first, and then copy output file to destination folder when transcoding job fully completed

[File Size] : define job types for large or small file size

[Keep the source] :if “Yes”, will keep the original file after transcoding completed
