Gopinath Reddy Vedere, affectionately known as Gopi, was born to Smt. Sujatha andShriRamlinga Reddy Vedere on July 17, 1959 at Hanamkonda [Warangal District], graduated from Osmania University, Hyderabad. Rotarian Gopinath started his career as an entrepreneur in printing, publishing; consequently moved into the construction and infrastructure.

Attracted by the Rotarians weekly meet for fellowship and the Rotary International idealsof "Service Above Self”, Gopi joined the Rotary movement in 1989-90, through RotaryClub of Hyderabad East, under the classification “Building Construction”'.

Since induction he proved to be a great strength for the club with his dedicated efforts in discharging duties in all the avenues of services. Rotarian Gopinath served as club president during 1996-97 and hosted the District Assembly under his stewardship. Ever since he continued his administrative and tactical support to many a District Governors in implementing the Rotary programs successfully.

As a leader Rotarian Gopinath has held many positions in Rotary International District 3150 including District Secretary, Assistant Governor, Governor's Special Representative, District chair of the various committees; Polio Plus, Membership Extension, Community Service, Youth Service, Events, Awards & Recognitions, RYLA, Strategic Planning, Publications and Task Force coordinator for 'Bill Gates Challenge' and Presidential Citation. He has successfully organized several district conferences, district seminars, and district Rotary programs along with publishing district directories and governor's monthly letters.

Rotarian Gopinath served as a co-chair of the Accommodation, Transportation and Venue committees of the Rotary International South Asia Summit 2013 held at Hyderabad.

Gopi travelled widely and had the privilege of attending several Rotary club meetings in

USA and Europe. He also attended several Rotary International Conventions and Rotary International Institutes including Rotary centenary celebration at Chicago.

Rotarian Gopinath has been honored with several awards and special recognitions from the district Governors over the years for his dedicated services and commitment to the cause of Rotary movement. He is the recipient of the special recognition from National Polio Plus Committee during the year of 2005-06 & 2006-07.Gopi and his family members are the recipients of 'Paul Harris Fellow' recognition from The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
