During their Technology Time at school, students practiced logging into their accounts and learned how to access their books.
**The username for each account is the username the student uses to log on to the computer at school. It is the student’s first initial, last initial & id number (ie…js910765).

Study Island
The program is divided into sections based on subject (math, reading, etc.). Each section is contains approximately 25 to 30 topics. Each topic contains a bank of questions with explanations. All topics are accompanied by a lesson. It is helpful to view the lesson before answering the questions in the topic.
***IMPORTANT***
Ø Do not use the internet browser’s back button while in Study Island. To end a session click the END STUDY SESSION button below the question. Click RETURN TO MAIN to return to the list of topics. Using the internet browser’s back button will cause scores to be inaccurate.
Ø If your student’s score does not appear on the list of topics, have the student log off and back on Study Island

2. Enter your student’s username and password at the upper-left of the screen, and click “Submit”

3. All grade level material can be accessed by clicking OH Programs on the left-hand side of the screen
4. To pass a topic, you must satisfy the topic’s passing requirements which are based a minimum
number of questions answered (usually 10) and a minimum percentage correct (around 70%)

To access the Reports:
•After your child has logged in, click My Reports from the left-hand side of the screen to access the reports
Extra! Extra!
• There Is a Game Mode in Session Options. Students must answer the question correct the first time to play the game
• The default mode is Practice Mode
• In Session Option you can also print worksheets for extra practice. (see Figure A below)
• A warning symbol icon beside a topic means the student had problems mastering this section and needs additional help.
• A dropdown arrow icon under a topic means the student had problems and there is a remedial lesson
available. Also, there is a lesson available for each topic. (see Figure B below)
• All words and numbers in blue are hyperlinks to other information
