MINUTES-February 7, 2018

In Attendance: Commissioners Brancati, Beneventano, Melillo, Simoncini and Vasi

Also, in Attendance: Attorney Roberts, Treasurer Galluccio, Chief Melillo and PR Mangione

  1. Commissioner Brancati began the emergency meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.
  2. Attorney Roberts was asked to report on several items:
  1. He has tried several times to contact the litigator with no response. He will continue to try to setup a meeting as soon as possible.
  2. Attorney Roberts called the Spain Agency regarding the Notice of Cancellation and was told that the Agency was aware of the notice and would take of the Notice.
  3. The Treasurer reminded the Board that the first Bond payment would be due mid-February and the next payment will be due in August.
  4. PR Mangione was asked to write a letter to the Town of Lewisboro Town Board regarding the 684-emergency access.
  5. A motion was made by Commissioner Brancati to go into Executive Session at 8pm. A motion was made by Commissioner Brancati to come out of Executive Session at 8:15pm. All were in favor.
  6. A motion was made by Commissioner Simoncini with a second by Commissioner Melillo to adjourn at 8:16pm. All were in favor.

At a previous meeting there were two Resolutions adopted.

  1. BE IT RESOLVED that all volunteers of the Goldens Bridge Fire District shall provide a written acknowledgement of the receipt of the Policies of the Fire District as stated in writing.

Adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Goldens Bridge Fire District on January 11, 2018.

Reduction to reduce the current surety bond coverage and employee theft coverage on behalf of the Goldens Bridge Fire District relative to the receipt of funds received from the insurance carrier in payment of damages to the District firehouse and other property covered by the insurance policy and the disbursement of such funds, since no further large receipt of funds are expected.

RESOLVED that application shall be made to obtain a surety bond in the sum of FIVE MILLION and 00/100 ($5,000,000.00) Dollars from the Great American Group covering each Fire District official who is duly appointed signatory on behalf of the Fire District for receipt and disbursement of any andall such insurance proceeds and be it further

RESOLVED that application shall be made to ESIP ASIP to increase coverage for employee theft by endorsement to the current policy insuring the Fire District increase coverage from ONE MILLION and 00/100 Dollars ($1,000,000.00) to TWO MILLION ($2,000,000.00) Dollars for the Fire District Chairman as signatory and the Fire District Treasurer as signatory.

NOW THEREFOR IT BE RESOLVED that the Fire District proceed diligently with obtaining such insurance coverage as hereinbefore set forth and expending such funds as reasonably necessary to obtain such coverage for all such signatures prior to the commencement of expending funds from such insurance proceeds in excess of ONE MILLION and 00/100 ($1,000,000.00) Dollars.
