In my quest for the truth I've had many experiences and valuable experiences about spiritual powers and psychic abilities.
I'm also an engineer and businessman as well as a 40 year student of the spiritual and paranormal. As an analytical person it's always been important for me to understand the basis for spiritual powers I knew existed from most of my experiences.
The best resource I found on the subject many years ago is the famous book "The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali". This book was written two thousand years ago in Sanskrit and many translations are available on the web.
The book describes in detail the process of spiritual development and how different abilities can result as side effects of the spiritual development process:

Lesson#2:

An additional aspect of understanding spiritual abilities is that we all have an energy body.
This energy body consists of the following components:
* Your Vital forces centers or Chakras
* The Energy meridians often discussed and used in Chinese medicines like Acupuncture.
* Your Aura
* Thoughtforms.
* Different vibrational level and bodies of consciousness

Lesson#3:

The spiritual ability I've experience the most in my life is prophecy. This is something I understand well, and wrote a book on several years ago before I started the God Like Powers Series.
My experiences have been both personal, and regarding major world events.
Prophecy: A History and How to Guide
What I have learned is that we all have a spirit which exists outside of time and space, and when we learn to relax ourselves through techniques like meditation, we calm our thoughts and emotions so our spirit can shine out.
These same techniques also are the basis for the long term development of spiritual powers.

Lesson# 4:

Human Invisibility is a super power much denigrated among the general population.
However, there are many stories of persons who have had spontaneous invisibility experiences.
I learned one technique in college call the "Blue Cloud" technique which allows you to use vital forces to create a cloud of energy which will shield you from the sight of others. It does work.
(The requirement to learn this technique is to first learn relaxation and vital forces manipulations first.)

I never thought about invulnerability until one evening in about 1992 when I was walking around at night outside a movie theater in Torrance, Ca. with a date.
Then a drive by shooter shot me in the wrist with a pistol. Unbelievably the bullet bounced off and only left a small bruise. I'm still not sure I believe what happened.
This led to my interests in physical invulnerability and have found a few stories about this rare ability.
I also included spiritual and psychic shielding in this book since it comes under the heading of protecting ourselves at a different level.

Lesson #6:

Teleportation is one of the most incredible powers of the spirit. Recent scientific experiments on quantum teleportation also remove some of the scientific obstacles to the concept.
In the Teleportation book I list a number of examples of teleportation events claimed throughout the world, and exercises to learn it for yourself.
Stories include those Gil Perez who teleported from Manila to Mexico City in 1593.

Lesson #7:

Psychokinesis or Telekinesis is the ability to affect matter with the mind. There are several types of related effects. Sometimes apparitions supposed to be haunting by ghosts may instead be psychokinetic effects by someone at that location.
We can learn to move objects ourselves by concentration and persistence.
One of the easiest things to try is to affect a compass by your mind. You need to be in a relaxed state, and try for ten minutes at a time. It may take weeks, but it can be done.

My object in this ecourse was to expose the reader to different abilities and the paths to obtaining them. There are many more abilities you can develop too.
