1.  Confirm you understand the following policy in regards to the GHF program and the applicant’s Pfizer employment status:
Colleagues who have been given notice of job loss due to restructuring or reorganization as a result of business conditions should not apply for a Global Health Fellowship. A Global Health Fellowship is an extension of colleague’s Pfizer position. Fellows maintain status as a full-time employee during the fellowship tenure and participation in the program will not influence or adversely affect it. In the event that company restructuring or reorganization occurs during the fellowship tenure which affects the fellow’s employment status he/she will be required to return from assignment. Affected Fellows will be eligible to apply to open positions within the company per the terms of any applicable separation agreements. (If no: Managers with concerns related to imminent and confirmed changes to the applicants employee status should not endorse the applicant for the GHF program who have been given notice of job loss or other confirmed changes to their employment status should not apply to the GHF program)

Note:

Supply chain fellowships aim to optimize supply chains so that medicines, vaccines and medical products are distributed safely and effectively at the lowest possible cost from the point of production to the patient. Fellowships may encompass all related processes and practices including: supply/cold chain planning and analysis; quality assurance and control functions; forecasting/procurement planning; stock and inventory management; warehousing and storage; transportation and distribution; and training and mentoring.

Increasingly, developing countries face the burden of both infectious and non-communicable disease (NCDs) such as cancer, diabetes, cardiac ailments and conditions related to malnutrition. Prevention fellowships aim to advance promising approaches (related to either disease type) in low resource settings to reduce deaths worldwide. Fellowships may encompass activities to further vaccine research and development; develop or strengthen other preventative interventions such as awareness campaigns; health professional training; and screening and treatment initiatives.

Entrepreneurship fellowships aim to scale up GHF partners’ organizational capacity in ways that improve effectiveness or range of services. Fellowships may encompass strategic planning; business development; information systems management; and financial management functions including accounting, budgeting reporting and analysis
