Lunches
**Special Note** Hot Dog Day is March 21st. Tuesday for this month only.
The lunch order site is open! You have until April 3rd to place your orders for Pizza, Subway, and Hot Dogs for April and the rest of the year. Click here or go to the Glen Park school website and select “On-Line Lunch Ordering’ from the menu on the left.
Student Success
The March Spelling Test is tomorrow (Monday)!
The Glen Park Spelling Bee is finally here. We hope all participants had the chance to review the words. There will be prizes for the winners. See you on Thursday!
Our Regional Spelling Bee will take place on April 5th at John Ross Robertson Jr Public School.
Community Engagement
Our next full School Council Meeting is Monday, April 3rd. We will receive the Principals’ reports, a Treasurer’s report and an update on key items. Everyone is welcome. Child care will be provided.
Glen Park Danceathon 2017 was widely successful. DJ Bold got the kids up and dancing and everyone had a great time. We reached our fundraising goal of $5000. Congratulations to all our grand draw winners. Thank you to Shoshana for all her work in organizing this event and ensuring its success. Thank you as well to all teachers who energeticaly supported the event, which was very much appreciated and enjoyed by students.
Also, a big thank you to all our parent volunteers that chaperoned the danceathon. They appeared to have a great time too. Can't wait for next year.
Fun Fair Gift Baskets
The annual collection for our Funfair Baskets is here. Each family is asked to donate an item to our themed gift baskets for our annual draw at the Funfair on June 1, 2017. Information will be sent home this week with each class theme and how you can contribute (see attached as well). The deadline for donations is April 21, 2017.
We will once again be collecting Canadian Tire Money that can be used toward the purchase of prizes at our event. Kindly send this in with your kids and it will be collected in class.
