Born in Rome and graduated in piano with honor, Mr. Terranova attracted international attention jumping in as Duke of Mantua inRigolettoat the Arena di Verona. His great critical success lead to his current reputation as one of the great interpreters of the role. In 2010 he had great personal success making his debut at the Teatro alla Scala Milan, again as the Duke of Mantua, under the baton of James Conlon, who also chose him for that role in Los Angeles.
At the beginning of his career he made his debut inIl barbiere di Siviglia,Falstaff, Madama Butterfly, Nabucco, Les contes d’Hoffmann, Mavra, Il pirataandGinaby Cilea.
Among his past engagements are worth mentioning: La bohème, Rigoletto and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony (special concert under Zubin Mehta) in Florence; Edgardoin Lucia di Lammermoor in Frankfurt; Alfredo inLa Traviata in Verona (Filarmonico) and Venice with Myung Wung Chung; La Bohème in Torre del Lago (Puccini Festival) and in Bologna; La Fille du Régiment in Trieste and on tour in Italy; La Damnation de Faustin Palermo; Lucia di Lammermoorin Naples;La BohèmeandRigolettoin Venice; Un Ballo in Maschera and Verdi’s Requiem in Trieste, Gianluigi Gelmetti conducting. He also performed Alfredo inLa Traviatafor the new Festival of the Opera Australia in Sydney (first edition: 2012) at the Sydney Harbour

Gianluca Terranova portrayed Enrico Caruso in the Italian TV-mohvie “Caruso, la voce dell’amore”, both singing and acting. In October 2012 he released his first cd: “Gianluca Terranova canta Caruso” (EMI).

FRANCESCO DEMURO

Francesco Demuro was born in Porto Torres, Sardinia, in January 1978. Between 2003 and 2004 he studied at the Conservatory in Sassari, then he enrolled himself as a private student at the Conservatory in Cagliari, where he received lessons by soprano Elisabetta Scanu.
His 2007 debut in Parma with Luisa Miller was a great success both for the critics and the audience and he received invitations from some of the most important Italian and foreign opera houses. Between 2007 and 2009 he sang Luisa Miller again in Sassari, and he debuted in Turin withRigoletto, that he also sang in Hong Kong in a tournée with Teatro Regio di Parma. Further highlights of those seasons include Simon Boccanegra at the Megaron in Athens, Rigoletto in Dresden conducted by Fabio Luisi and at Festival Verdi in Parma, and La Bohème in Bari. He obtained great reviews from public and critics for his Spanish debut in Roberto di Devereux in Las Palmas and he sang La Traviata at Teatro Municipal in Santiago (Cile) and Rigoletto in Beijing, in tournée with Teatro Regio di Parma.
In October 2009 he made his debut in the USA singing La Traviata at Seattle Opera to great acclaim, and then he obtained a huge personal success at Suntory Hall in Tokyo with Così Fan Tutte. Further highlights include La Traviata in Valencia with M° Maazel, Lucia di Lammermoor in Hamburg and Warsaw, La Traviata and Der Rosenkavalier in Dresden, L’Elisir d’Amore at La Scala in Milan (debut), La Bhoème in Detroit, Maria Stuarda in Athens, L’Elisir d’Amore and La Bohème at Wiener Staatsoper, a new production of Rigoletto at Wiener Festwochen directed by Luc Bondy.
In summer 2011 he obtained great reviews from public and critics at Arena di Verona, where he opened the summer season singing La Traviata. His subsequent debut at the Royal Opera House in London with Gianni Schicchi conducted by M° Pappano was a huge success, and they invited him again to sing Alfredo in La Traviata.The season continued with La Traviata at Berlin Staatsoper, in Limoges and at Wiener Staatsoper, Falstaff in Verona, Rigoletto in Hamburg, Don Pasquale at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Macbeth in Munich.
Highlights in the recent seasons included the debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York as Alfredo in La traviata and Rodolfo in La bohème; Rigoletto,Così Fan Tutte and Falstaff in San Francisco with M° Luisotti; La Traviata at Berlin Staatsoper, Munich Opera, Oper Frankfurt, at the Royal Opera House in London, at Opéra Bastille, at La Fenice in Venice, at Teatro Real de Madrid, at Liceu in Barcelona and at Arena di Verona, as well as in Las Palmas, Bari and Cagliari; Don Pasquale in Verona, Falstaff at La Scala, La Bohème and Rigoletto in Seattle, Maria Stuarda in Bilbao and at the Champs Elysées in Paris, Rigoletto at Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, at Teatro Real in Madrid and in Tokyo in tournée with La Scala with M° Dudamel, Roméo et Juliette at Arena di Verona and in Seoul, La Bohème in Frankfurt, Rigoletto, La traviata and Der Rosenkavalier at Opéra Bastille, L'elisir d'amore in Muscat in tournée with La Fenice, Lucia di Lammermoor in Ancona. On the concert platform, he performed Mozart's Requiem in Verona, Verdi’s Requiem with the Houston Symphony and Rossini’s Stabat Mater at Palace of the Arts in Budapest.
Most recently he made house debuts at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin (L'elisir d'amore), at Teatro San Carlo in Naples (La bohème), at the Opéra in Monte Carlo (Maria Stuarda), in Australia with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and at Shanghai Opera (La traviata). He then returned to La Scala in Falstaff and to La Fenice in Lucia di Lammermoor, and he debuted as Lord Arthur Talbot in I puritani at the Palace of the Arts in Budapest.
Future plans include Falstaff at Opéra Bastille and in Astana in turnée with La Scala; the debut as Nadir in Les pêcheurs de perles at Berlin Staatsoper, the debut as Faust at Teatro Comunale di Modena and at Teatro Municipale di Piacenza, I puritani in Savolinna in tournée with Teatro Real.
Arturo Chacón-Cruz

Arturo Chacón-Cruz, a native of Sonora, Mexico, has established himself in recent years as a leading tenor with exciting appearances in renowned theaters and concert halls across the globe.
Since winning Plácido Domingo’s Operalia Singing Competition in 2005, Arturo’s career has seen a successful, and steady development. His repertoire spans from Bellini and Donizetti to Puccini and Verdi. Some of his more sought after roles are: Rodolfo, the Duke of Mantua, Alfredo, Jacopo Foscari, Gabriele Adorno, B.F. Pinkerton, Hoffmann, Werther, and Romeo to name a few.
Highlights this season include Werther in Barcelona, Des Grieux in Massenet’s Manon in Monte Carlo, La Traviata in Rome and Valencia, Don Jose in Carmen in Palermo and Zurich, as well as a critically acclaimed role debut as Macduff in Los Angeles and Vienna.
Upcoming performances include La Boheme in San Francisco and Hamburg, La Traviata in Munich and Rome, Rigoletto in Los Angeles and Verona, among many others.
In addition to an extensive existing discography, the artist’s first solo CD, entitled Arturo Chacón le canta a México, is now available, featuring some of the most beautiful Mexican music ever written, and accompanied by the Orquesta Filarmónica de Sonora. Distributed by the Naxos Label.
Recently, Arturo was heard as Alfredo Germont in La Traviata in Munich, Vienna, Valencia, Rome, and Los Angeles, as Il Duca di Mantova in Rigoletto in Mexico City and Florence, as Faust in Berlioz’s La Damnation de Faust at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, as Don Jose in Carmen in Lyon, Hamburg, Tel-Aviv, Palermo, and Zurich. He also appeared in concert with a role debut of Faust in Boito’s Mefistofele with the Collegiate Chorale for his return to Carnegie Hall.
Arturo made his La Scala di Milano debut as Hoffmann, and received a very warm reception from the audience and press: “He excellently portrayed the lovelorn poet, with a youthfulness that only made him more attractive, exhibiting great mastery over his instrument and an indeed pleasant high register, all in all, a brilliant participation”. Arturo shares a long and important relationship with two of the reigning opera singers of our day, Plácido Domingo and Ramón Vargas. Since discovering Arturo in 2000, Plácido Domingo has remained a friend and mentor of the younger artist, and the two have shared the operatic stage and concert platform many times. Arturo was awarded the Plácido Domingo Scholarship and Mr. Domingo himself helped launch Arturo’s international career after Arturo’s success in the Operalia Competition. Arturo also enjoys a nurturing friendship with Ramón Vargas who became a mentor, teacher and friend over a decade ago.
