Administrative & Operations Coordinator

The Boston Area Rape Crisis Center is looking for a new full-time staff member. The Administrative & Operations Coordinator position is an opportunity for a self-motivated, resourceful, energetic office professional to bring their customer service focus to an organization with an incredible mission and staff.

This position will be of primary importance to all guests and staff at BARCC. The person in this position will be the mechanic that keeps us running efficiently and in-line with our values; with a special focus on supporting staff and volunteers, creating a positive welcoming environment for visitors coming to our Cambridge office and using BARCC resources wisely. We envision an administrator who is a strong problem-solver with outstanding collaboration and organizational skills being successful in this role.

About the position

BARCC's Administrative & Operations Coordinator will serve as the office ambassador, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere by answering the phones and greeting guests in the office. They will also:

v  Oversee the smooth operation of office and building functions by providing patient and friendly troubleshooting support to staff and interns.

v  Liaison with vendors and service providers as needed to restore functions, maintain equipment and improve the experience of guests and callers.

v  Utilize their superior organizational skills and attention to detail to manage general office supplies and technology inventory.

v  Collaborate with staff to order supplies to meet program needs, such as outreach supplies, business cards, etc.

v  Provide ongoing support to assist in the compiling, completion and delivery of grants, contract documents, mailings, etc.

The perception of a successful Administrative & Operations Coordinator is that they are approachable, responsive, reliable, helpful and an integral part of BARCC’s central support team.

Qualifications

·  Minimum of two years office experience

·  Experience providing troubleshoot support and building relationships with vendors

·  Technology savvy with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

·  The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills that intrinsically motivates them to support others

·  Must be committed to BARCC’s mission and philosophy

·  Experience working in an environment where guests may be in crisis or under stress is helpful.

·  Conversational fluency in Spanish strongly preferred.

Starting Salary Range

$34,000 to $38,000, commensurate with experience, plus generous benefits package, including health, dental, vacation, sick time and other coverage options.
