Getting Started with the Walk-and-Talk Interactive Whiteboard

All drivers needed for this software have been included on the image for the Pennsylvania laptop initiative.

Attaching the Interactive board to the laptop

  1. Attach the projector to the laptop using the computer dongle and projector cable. The cable for the projector should be connected to the video in port on the projector.
  2. Attach the computer to the whiteboard using one of the USB ports on the laptop.
  3. Turn on Projector

Configuring the Whiteboard

  1. Locate the remote control for the Whiteboard.

  1. Press the Projection button on the remote.
  2. Follow the instructions on the alignment window. Touch each corner of the projected image to align the board.
  3. If the whiteboard is mounted on a stationary surface, you can save this alignment and avoid having to do it every time you connect. Select Configure Walk-and-Talk from the Walk-and-Talk menu.

  1. Select Projection and make note of how many Alignment Points have been selected. The board will be much more responsive if 16 Points are selected. Also check the Fixed Projector box to save the alignment from now on.

  1. Select the Save button and click the pop-up menu next to Save File As. Select the file type you want for all screen shots that are saved by the board. A .jpg is a good choice for most projects you might use the images for.
  1. There may also be settings you want to configure on the General, Draw, Print and Hardware buttons. Feel free to experiment with these.
  2. The board is now ready to use. It may take some practice to get comfortable with it, but at this point, it’s a touch screen monitor with a remote, the sky’s the limit!
