This event will be held outdoors regardless of weather.

Entries close 6:00p.m. October 11th, 2010, or when Trial/Test entry limits are reached.

Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis up to and including the date entries close

(Exhibition Only entries will be taken up to and including day of show until limits are reached.)

FOOD WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SITE

There will be a lunch break each day at the judges’ discretion.

Rules

1. We will use care and diligence for the welfare of all dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, nor assume liability, in the event of an accident or misfortune caused to dogs, exhibitors or property.

2. Dogs must be kept under control at all times, and must be kept on leash at all times or crated, except when competing.

3. Neither the GSDCWKY nor Glendhenmere Kennels shall be responsible to any exhibitor, member, person, partnership, club or corporation for any loss, damage or injury arising at or by reason of any herding test/trial held under any rules adopted by the AKC.

4. Exhibitors will be responsible for picking up after their dogs.

5. Water will be available for dogs to cool off in. There is some shade. Exhibitors may wish to bring their own shade, crates, chairs, etc.

6. Exhibitors must sign the waiver form before being allowed to compete.

From the North: From I-24 near Paducah—go to exit 25(the Fulton exit) Take exit 41 to Murray (about 8 miles down) This is Hwy 641. Murray is about 20 miles and that is a 4 lane all the way at the edge of Murray---turnleft at stop light at Circus Skate (on right) Used Car dealer (on left) follow that road through Murray—it becomes 121 south, continue on 121 South past Murray (if you are in Murray, go south on 641, turn east on Glendale Road, turn right at end on Hwy 121 South)

about 3 miles turnright on Hwy 893 west, go about three or four miles turnleft on Shoemaker Road, go 1 & 1/2 mile turnright on Glendhenmere Lane-- blacktop lane—go about 300 yards turn left up hill—follow blacktop.

ATTENTION EXHIBITORS

  • THE GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG CLUB OF WEST KENTUCKY (GSDCWKY), IT’S OFFICERS AND REPRESENTATIVES, the Test/Trial Chair, Secretary, Committee, owner of the Test/Trial site assume no responsibility for loss, damage, or injury sustained by spectators, exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for their children or guests, or property, and their dogs and further assume no responsibility for injury to children.
  • DOGS MUST WEAR A SIMPLE WELL-FITTING BUCKLE, SNAP LOCK OR SLIP COLLAR (no tags), or may work without a collar at trial levels.
  • Do not enter any building without permission.
  • Bitches in season will run in order of the draw for Trial classes and at the end of the order in Test classes.
  • All dogs present must be on leash or confined to crates.
  • No entry fee will be refunded if the show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, and Act of God, public emergency, Act of Public Enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or Show Secretary.

Saturday buffet style food.

Coffee and pastries will be available Sunday morning and lunch buffet style.

There are many food establishments within 15 minutes of the trial site.

AGREEMENT

I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.
Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting there from, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other persons. I (we) agree that any cause of action, controversy or claim arising out of or related to the entry, exhibition or attendance at the event between the AKC and myself (ourselves) or as to the construction, interpretation and effect of this Agreement shall be settled by arbitration pursuant to the applicable rules of the American Arbitration Association. However, prior to arbitration all applicable AKC Bylaws, rules, regulations and procedures must first be followed as set forth in the AKC Charter and Bylaws, rules, regulations, published policies and guidelines.
