We have good records of the Mueller and Job families after they arrived in North Dakota from South Russia. We believe they were in Russia from about 1809-1897. The only information we have on who and where they came from in Germany prior to Russia is listed below.

At this moment we are only concerned about locating any German documents regarding the below relatives. We will be in Germany in August and would like some confirmation where these relatives came from and any information that can be discovered on them including, the exact towns, lots/homes where the lived at the time, birth, death and marriage information.

I realize The "Mueller" name is extremely common and trying to determine which Mueller family in Frankfurt is ours might be impossible. I'm hoping the Job side might be a little easier? I have information I can send to help but in the form of and old family book which i have copied in PDF format. The information is not confirmed but it's all we have. The family generations in Russia will be another project later.

Georg Jacob Job or Jopp b.1762, d.unknown date in Russia. From Ottersheim/GermersheimPfalz

His wife:

Katharina b. 1768 d.?unknown date in Russia

Their children:

Johannes b. 1899 possibly in Ottersheim/GermersheimPfalz

Ludwig

Margareta

Magdalena

While in Russia Georg Jacob Job's great grandson, Johannes Job b. 1850, South Russia, married a Marie Graff first, then Christina Stroh.

In the family book it shows Christina Stroh's father as Adam Stroh and mother as Katharine Walz. Adams grandfather was, Jakob Stroh b. 1768, was married to Anna Marie b. 1770, apparently they were from Jagstkreis, Wurttemberg, and emigrated to Hungary before coming to Russia in 1808.

The above two immigrants who we have German town information on, I believe are the best ancestors to research?

The third family member is Jacob Muller and Barbara ?...Jacob was apparently born in 1801 in Frankfurt. I don't think this is information is going to be any good?

Our main goal is locate any documentation or facts that indicates towns or possibly civil documents identifying and confirming one of the above family members as coming from a specific town and possibly other civil documents supporting their existence in Germany.

We are working with others to confirm all Russian generations but that information will not be ready for sometime. I know if we had that info it would help but I don't think were looking for solid confirmation that this time. Rather we are looking for any information you find on the above mentioned ancestors. For purposes of these request, we are assuming that information in the family book is correct.

My wife's mother is 75 and will be traveling with us to Germany in August. We would like to show her any related towns, lots or documents related to the above information. It's kind of her last desire in life and she is not in good health.

I can provide you a PDF of the pages from the book to assist you. In addition I have a Ancestry.com tree under member name lutz112 "Scott Family Tree."

Thank you for your time,

Richard and Troyette
