General Terms and Conditions

Deposits/Balance payment

A 10% deposit is required to secure a reservation. Balance payment is due latest 5 weeks before arrival. Special conditions apply for all cruises.

Payment Methods

Payments have to be effected by electronic transfer or by cheque. Credit cards will not be accepted. Bank fees will be charged for cash payments.

Prices

Prices are quoted in Euro or US-$ and payable in ZAR at the rate of exchange applicable on the date of invoice. The rate of exchange on the invoice is valid for 48 hours. If not paid in time it may be necessary to adjust the ZARamount.

Documentation

All passengers will be personally responsible for ensuring that they are in possession of the necessary visa and correct documentation prior to departure. Austria Connection does not accept responsibility for any consequences whatsoever arising from a passenger failing to do so.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be done in writing and the following cancellation charges apply:

a) City packages, hotel bookings, transfers, sightseeingtours:
Until 5 days before arrival no cancellation fee, only asmall administration fee will be charged.
Thereafter 100% cancellation fee

b) Self-drive tours:
Until 7 days before arrival no cancellation fee, a 5% administration fee will be charged

c) Train tickets. Once booked this is non-refundable.

Special conditions apply to coach tours, rivercruises and cruises in Croatia, available onrequest.

Unutilised Services

No refunds will be considered for Unutilised services.

Responsibility

Austria Connection (herein called the Company), in making arrangements for transportation, conveyance, hotel accommodation or any other services, acts only as agents for the supplier of these services and shall not be liable for any act or omission on the part of such suppliers. The Company shall furthermore not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or any other irregularity that may be occasioned during any journey, tour, residence or other arrangement booked by the Company.

Any loss or expense due to delays, changes or cancellations of air, rail, road, sea or any other service, strikes, sickness, theft, war, weather or other causes will have to be borne by the passenger.

Exceptions might apply to bookings for certain dates or special hotels.
