1General Instructions to candidates

1) Before filling On-line Application read the Prospectus carefully.

2) All necessary information must be kept at hand before filling On line application, such as Demand Draft No., Personal Mobile number, Personal E–mail ID, Mark-sheet details, Experience certificate-details etc.

3) Download hard copies of all necessary proforma and attach dully filled in and signed certificates with the application form.

4) Application No. must be mentioned at the back side of the demand draft for identification and attached at the top of the application using U pin loosely, so that it can be detached from the application with out damage.

5) Dully Attested copies of all mark sheets/certificates/previous experience certificates must be attached in the sequence as mentioned in the application.

6) No application will be accepted after Last date for submitting the application form, i.e. 20/6/2013, Thursday.

7) For any postal delay, institute will not be responsible.

8) Candidate should read the admission program given in the prospectus/on web-site carefully.

9) For Admission to IST year, Merit list will be on the basis of sum total of Best of Five subjects inclusive of Maths, Science, English at SSC and credit marks( weightage ) obtained.

10) For Admission to Direct IIND year, Merit list will be on the basis of %age sum total of %age aggregate marks obtained at qualifying examination and %age credit marks(weightage) obtained on the basis of Experience.

11) Rules for (weightage) credit marks are given in the prospectus AT D.4.

12) Candidate must verify status of their application whether Confirmed or Rejected on website.

ADMISSION TO POST SSC DIPLOMA COURSES IN ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY IN GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC FOR DISTANCE LEARNING, PUNE FOR THE YEAR 2013-2014

The Institute conducts Adult-Education programs in Engineering and Technology especially for Working Technicians to upgrade their skills and knowledge necessary for Middle Management level jobs in Engineering Establishments.

Programs: Diploma in Civil Engineering.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Duration: Four years (8 Semesters)

Mode of Education: Distance Learning.

: Resident Sessions are conducted at recognized Govt./Aided/Unaided

Polytechnics in state for Lab. Work/Practicals prescribed as a

partial fulfillment of respective semester courses for 15 days(120hrs.)

duration every semester & 240hrs. self study at home.

Eligibility for

IST Year Admission: A) Passed 10th Std/SSC examination (with Science, Maths, English) and 2 year ITI after 10th

OR

Passed 10th Std/SSC examination (with Science, Maths, English) and Minimum of Two years full time work experience in a registered firm/ Company/ Industry/ Educational and /Government, Autonomous Organizations in the relevant field in which admission is sought.

OR

Passed 10th Std/SSC examination with subjects English, Maths, Science and undergoing training under ApprenticeshipAct,1961, in Maharashtra state. (Sponsorship- Certificate from the Industry where

Undergoing Training is mandatory)

B) S.S.C./Equivalent Exam. Pass from out of Maharashtra with minimum 35% marks in aggregate (with Science, Maths, English having maximum marks 100 each) and Minimum of Three years full time work experience in a registered firm/ Company/ Industry/ Educational and /Government, Autonomous Organizations in the relevant field in which admission is sought.

Merit Calculation: Marks of each subject obtained in SSC shall be converted out of 100, sum total of best of five subjects as out of 500 taken together with additional Credit marks will be considered for merit calculation.

For the present, the Board of Technical Education, has recognized following subjects for XII Vocational Examination a) Electrical Maintenance b) Mechanical Maintenance c) Scooter & Motor Cycle servicing. d) General contracting e) Electronics f) Chemical Engineering.
OR
a) Craftsmanship Course (Engineering Group) Exam from recognized Industrial Training Institute.
OR
b) N.C.T.V.T. Examinations OR
c) Civil Engineering Assistance Course conducted by Government Technical Institute OR
d) Architectural Draftsman Examination conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. / 10 marks
Note: A candidate having passed in more than one examination as mentioned above shall be eligible for a credit of max.15 marks only.(For claiming credit marks as stated above attested true copies of passing certificates of the respective examinations must be attached with the application form).
iii)Candidate who is a freedom fighter or his wife, child or adopted child or step child or grand child (of a predeceased son of freedom fighter) or sons and daughters of those who had participated in i) Hyderabad Liberation Movement ii) Goa Liberation movement and imprisoned for six months and more. (Proper certificate is necessary) / 5 marks
iv) For a total experience in Technical Field, after passing qualifying examination; additional Credit marks(weightage) will be given as shown below – Experience certificates must be on proper authentic Letter Heads of the firms with complete address, phone, fax numbers, email address of the employer and details such as Employee name, Division/Department, Designation, Date of joining ,Date of separation, Resion for separation, Salary last drawn, Provident Fund No., E.S.I.No., and must be attached to the application in chronological order (Date-wise).
Recommendation /Sponsorship certificate of present employer must be in format as in application/ prospectus / *

b) Three year NCTVT course through any industry will be considered as one year experience.

c) Four year NCTVT course will be considered as two years of experience.

d) Candidate will be eligible for admission to the course in which he has passed qualifying examination and/or working in relevant technical field only.

A) H.S.C. Science/ H.S.C. Science with Technical with 50% marks for Open & 45% marks for reserved category/Vocational(MCVC) pass from Maharashtra with 60% marks in aggregate + 1 year experience in relevant technical field in Maharashtra and must be presently in service or self- employed in technical field.
B) SSC pass from Maharashtra with 35% of marks in aggregate (with & in English, Science, Maths + ITI/COE pass from Maharashtra with 60% marks in aggregate + one year experience in relevant tech. field in Maharashtra or self employed in technical field..

Note:

v) Candidates fulfilling eligibility conditions will be admitted provisionally. Their eligibility forms will be sent through this institute to Regional Board of Technical Education Pune and their admissions will be confirmed after receiving their eligibility from RBTE Pune.

• Failure of the candidate in making full and correct Statements in the application form and/or suppression of any information and/or submission of false documents shall lead to disqualification of the candidate for admission. Such a candidate will be debarred from the entire admission process. Therefore the candidate is required to make only such claims which could be substantiated by relevant original documents.

• If any of the statement made in application form or any information supplied by the candidate in connection with his or her admission is later on at any time, found to be false or incorrect, his or her admission will be cancelled, fees forfeited and he or she may be expelled from the college by the Principal. An appeal against the order of expulsion, however, may be preferred within 7 days to the Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai, whose decision in such cases will be final.

Undertaking:

All candidates who have applied for admission shall be deemed to have submitted the following undertaking: I have read all the Rules of Admission and after understanding these rules thoroughly, I have filled in the application form for admission for the current year.

The information given by me in my application is true to the best of my knowledge and belief. I understand that if any of the statements made by me in the application form or any information supplied by me in connection with my admission is later on at any time, found to be false or incorrect, my admission will be cancelled, fees forfeited and I may be expelled from the college by the Principal.

* I have not been debarred from appearing at any examination held by any Government

constituted or statutory examination authority in India.

• I fully understand that my application will be considered for the course(Civil/Mech./Elect) relevant to my qualification and experience/recommendation .

• I understand that no document after the last date of submission will be entertained for the

purpose of claims or concessions etc. in connection with my admission unless otherwise

mentioned in the rules.

• I am fully aware that the Competent Authority or its representative will not make any

correspondence with me regarding admission. I am also aware that it is entirely my responsibility to see the notices on the notice boards of concerned Admission Centre.

• I am aware that any rule imposed by the Examination Authority of MSBTE such as ‘imposing limits on the number of attempts permissible to pass any examination’ shall be binding on me.

• I hereby agree to conform to any Rules, Acts and Laws enforced by Government and I hereby undertake that, I will do nothing either inside or outside the institution which may result in disciplinary action against me under these rules, acts and laws referred to.

• I fully understand that the Principal of the college where I would be admitted, has a right to expel me from the institution for any infringement of the rules of conduct and discipline

prescribed by the institution or MSBTE / Governing body of Autonomous Institutes or

Government and the undertaking given above.

• I am fully aware of Condition of minimum attendance that, I will not be allowed to appear for the examination if I do not attend minimum 75% theory classes, and 100% practical, drawing etc.

I am also aware that I will not be allowed to appear for the examination, if I fail to submit

satisfactorily all the assignments, jobs, journals, drawings, reports as specified by the MSBTE /Governing body of Autonomous Institutes within stipulated time limit.
