Guidelines for Team Website Manager
Purpose:
The purpose of individual Vikings Volleyball team websites is to provide a central location where information about specific Vikings Volleyball teams can be easily accessed by players, parents, and coaches. Information on team sites will include rosters, schedules, tournament results, photos, and other options selected by the Team Website Manager that appropriately represents the individual and/or team. All information will be prepared with care and included in good faith.
General Guidelines for Team Website Manager:
Team Website Manager will:
endeavor to diffuse accurate and timely information
work with coaches to ensure accurate practice and game information
be aware of any players who have NOT turned in the photo consent and respect their privacy by ensuring their photos are NOT posted on the website
only allow persons who have entered into an agreement with Vikings Volleyball (pertaining specifically to team websites) to alter in any way the team website (Additions or deletions)
always post content that is representative of the Vikings Volleyball mission statement and club goals
notify the Vikings Volleyball board of directors immediately upon discovery of web content found anywhere on the internet not consistent with the goals and practices of Vikings Volleyball
Specific Expectations for Team Website Manager Earning Volunteer Hours:
Team Website Manager will:
post photos taken during each tournament
post a short “write up” after each tournament that celebrates the team’s successes
post final scores for each match and/or game
post any information requested by the board, scheduler, web coordinator, or team coaches
update all of this information within a week of play (The web coordinator will be checking in on pages weekly and completing a volunteer hour check sheet.)
be given extra consideration for adding video, photo albums, links, and other fun and creative sections to the team website

A link to any other website does not constitute an endorsement of any other site or of the products, practices, services, provider, or institution, nor does it necessarily endorse views expressed or facts presented on these sites.
By submitting information or providing photos to your Team Website Manager, you confirm your consent to the use of such information by Vikings Volleyball. Any such information will not be considered confidential and shall be considered truthful, legal, and not harmful to third parties.
Any individual or company having provided information for the site has the right to access, modify, correct, and/or withhold this information. To do so, you may contact the Team Website Manager or the Vikings Volleyball Website Coordinator.
