Youth Fellowship Committee Guidelines

(Amended in 2012)

Section 1 General Guidelines
Article 1 / These guidelines are made in accordance with Article 15 (C) of the Bylaws of General Assembly of True Jesus Church in Sabah.
Article 2 / [General Assembly of True Jesus Church in Sabah Youth Fellowship Committee] (Hereafter referred to as “this committee”) is under the care of the Executive Council of Sabah GA and is supervised by the chairman of Sabah GA or the appointed Executive Council member.
Article 3 / This committee was formed by the youth of our church from age 18 to 40.
Article 4 / Objective of this committee:
1.  Cultivate the youth to receive genuine belief, perfect morality, and grow within harmonious fellowship.
2.  Encourage the youth to serve according to their own gift.
3.  Strengthen counseling of youths, ministration training, so to help for the contribution in holy work.
Section 2 Organization
Article 5 / This committee consists of 7 executors and one director. This committee is to recommend 2 candidates to the GA Executive Council, and the GA Executive Council shall designate one of these candidates to be the director of this committee. Each youth coordinator of the church region is naturally a committee member. In addition, each church region shall appoint one person to serve in the Sabah GA Youth Fellowship Committee. Through the approval of the GA Council, the appointed personnel are to start their service for the term of 3 years which coincides the term of the GA Council members.
Article 6 / The Sabah GA Youth Fellowship is divided into 5 work teams, which are Training Team, Activity Team, General Affairs Team, Information Team, and Financial Team, and a leader is to be selected in each team. The work team leaders are elected among the members of the Fellowship. Their duties are as follows:
1.  Training Team: Plan and promote the trainings related to youth’s spiritual cultivation, life application, and holy works.
2.  Activity Team: Plan and promote the work related to various kinds of fellowship activities.
3.  General Affairs Team: Support for transportation, accommodations, and other general affairs.
4.  Team: Organize and archive the data and documents, take meeting minutes, produce newsletter, and work on the manpower survey.
5.  Financial Team: Work for financial management, expense remittance, set annual budget for various activities.
Article 7 / In addition, each church region has set up its respective Regional Youth Fellowship, named [General Assembly of True Jesus Church in Sabah XX Regional Youth Fellowship Committee], which is under the care of the Regional Executive Council. Under the supervision of the directors of regional churches, these Regional Youth Fellowships assist in promoting the regional holy works.
Article 8 / This committee consists of 7 to 13 executors and one director. The coordinators of the Church District are naturally the committee members of the Regional Youth Fellowship. Other youth are to be selected as committee members when needed. After the approval of the Regional Church Council, the committee members shall serve for a term of 3 years, which coincides with the term of the Regional Church Council members, and can be re-elected for one term.
Article 9
Article 10 / The Regional Youth Fellowship executes the works assigned by Sabah GA Youth Fellowship and Regional Church Council. According to the need, five work teams were divided, which are Training Team, Activity Team, Information Team, General Affairs Team, and Financial Affairs Team. A leader shall be set in each work team. The work team members are elected among the members of the Regional Youth Fellowship. Their duties are as follows:
1.  Training Team: Plan the yearly training classes, design the content of the class, invite the instructors, and etc.
2.  Activity Team: Plan various holy works, fellowship activities, etc.
3.  Information Team: Organize and archive the data and documents, take meeting minutes, produce newsletter, and work on the manpower survey.
4.  General Affairs Team: Provide support for transportation, accommodations, and other general affairs.
5.  Financial Team: Work for financial management, expense remittance, set annual budget for various activities.
The Church District which under the Church Region can set up its respective District Youth Fellowship, named [General Assembly of True Jesus Church in Sabah XX District Youth Fellowship Committee], which is under the care of the District Executive Council. Under the supervision of the directors of the Church District, the District Youth Fellowships assist in promoting the holy works within their respective districts.
The number of District Youth Fellowship members corresponds to that of the church and prayer house. Any local church or prayer house which does not have a youth organization can appoint one youth to be youth coordinator. The youth coordinators of the local churches are naturally the committee members of the District Youth Fellowship. After the approval of the Church District Council, the committee members shall serve for a term of 3 years, which coincides with the term of the District Church Council members, and can be re-elected for one term.
Article 11
Article 12 / The District Youth Fellowship executes the works assigned by the Regional Youth Fellowship and the District Church Council. According to need, five work teams are divided, which are Training Team, Activity Team, Information Team, General Affairs Team, and Financial Affairs Team. (Other work teams can be set up according to the need of the holy work in the District church.) A leader is set in each work team. The work team leaders are elected among the members of the District Youth Fellowship. Their duties are as follows:
1.  Training Team: Plan the yearly training classes, design the content of the class, invite the instructors, etc.
2.  Activity Team: Plan various holy works, fellowship activities, etc.
3.  Information Team: Organize and archive the data and documents, take meeting minutes, produce newsletter, and work on the manpower survey.
4.  General Affairs Team: Provide support for transportation, accommodations, and other general affairs.
5.  Financial Team: Work for financial management, expense remittance, set annual budget for various activities.
Each church shall set up a youth fellowship, named True Jesus Church in XX Youth Fellowship Committee], which is under the care of the church council. Under the supervision of the directors of Pastoral Affairs, these Youth Fellowships assist in promoting the holy works within their respective churches.
Article 13 / The number of Fellowship core team members shall be at least 5. The number of the core team is to be decided according to the need. Four work team members are elected among the members of the Fellowship and one member shall be designated by Church Council. The one who is designated by church council is naturally the coordinator of the youth fellowship. The Fellowship executes the works assigned by the local Church Council and Regional Youth Fellowship Committee. According to need, five work teams are divided, which are Training Team, Activity Team, Information Team, General Affairs Team, and Financial Affairs Team. Other work teams can be set up according to the need of the holy work in church. The core team members shall serve for a term of 3 years, which coincides with the term of the Church Council members, and can be re-elected for one term. The pre-coordinator can be invited to the youth core team meeting. If no youth coordinator is assigned by the church council, the church council can appoint one person to attend the youth fellowship meeting. A leader is set in each work team. The work team leaders shall be elected among the youth members. Their duties are as follow:
1.  Training Team: Plan the yearly training classes, design the content of the class, invite the instructors, etc.
2.  Activity Team: Plan various holy works, fellowship activities, welcoming and farewell, etc. The youth can be divided to be 15 people in one group. Each leader of the group is in charge of promoting the ongoing activities.
3.  Information Team: Organize and archive the data and documents, take meeting minutes, produce newsletter, and work on the manpower survey.
4.  General Affairs Team: Provide support for transportation, accommodations, and other general affairs.
5.  Financial Team: Work for financial management, expense remittance, set annual budget for various activities.
Section 3 Duties
Article 14 / The duties of Sabah GA Youth Fellowship Committee are as follows:
1.  To set up an annual plan for Sabah GA Youth Fellowship Committee.
2.  To handle the affairs pertaining to Sabah GA Youth Fellowship Committee.
3.  To supervise the works of every District Youth Fellowship Committee
Article 15 / The duties of the coordinator of Sabah GA Youth Fellowship Committee are as follows:
1.  To outwardly represent Sabah GA Youth Fellowship Committee.
2.  To plan and oversee the affairs of each work team.
3.  To convene Sabah GA Youth Fellowship Committee Meeting.
4.  To liaise with the Chairman, the GA Executive Council, and the preacher who is in charge of District church affairs.
Article 16 / The duties of each District Youth Fellowship Committee are as follows:
1.  To set up an annual plan for the District Youth Fellowship Committee.
2.  To handle the affairs pertaining to District Youth Fellowship Committee.
3.  To supervise the works of every District Youth Fellowship Committee
Article 17 / The duties of the coordinator of the District Youth Fellowship Committee are as follows:
1.  To outwardly represent the District Youth Fellowship Committee.
2.  To plan and oversee the affairs of each work team.
3.  To convene the District Youth Fellowship Committee Meeting.
4.  To liaise with the District Chairman and the Executive Council, and the preacher who is in charge of District church affairs.
Article 18
Article 19 / The duties of the Regional Youth Fellowship Committee are as follows:
1.  To set up an annual plan for the Regional Youth Fellowship Committee.
2.  To handle the affairs pertaining to the Regional Youth Fellowship Committee.
3.  To supervise the works of every local church Youth Fellowship Committee
The duties of the coordinator of the Regional Youth Fellowship Committee are as follows:
1.  To outwardly represent the Regional Youth Fellowship Committee.
2.  To plan and oversee the affairs of each work team.
3.  To convene the Regional Youth Fellowship Committee Meeting.
4.  To liaise with the Regional Chairman and Executive Council, and the preacher who is in charge of regional affairs.
Article 20
Article 21 / The duties of the local church Youth Fellowship Committee are as follows:
1.  To set up an annual plan for the Regional Youth Fellowship Committee.
2.  To handle the affairs pertaining to the local church Youth Fellowship Committee.
The duties of the coordinator of the local church Youth Fellowship Committee are as follows:
1.  To outwardly represent the local church Youth Fellowship Committee.
2.  To plan and oversee the affairs of each work team.
3.  To convene the local church Youth Fellowship Committee Meeting.
4.  To liaise with local church chairman, the church council, and the preacher who is in charge of regional affairs.
Section 4 Meeting
Article 22 / Sabah GA Youth Fellowship Committee is to convene a meeting once every half of a year. District and Regional Youth Fellowship Committees is to convene a meeting once every four months. The Local Church Youth Fellowship Committee are to convene a meeting once every three months.
Article 23 / Each committee shall submit their meeting minutes to their supervision unit within one week.

Article 24 / The GA Executive Council is responsible for any amendment of these guidelines.
