GE’s Smart Grid Center of Excellence will Power up Georgia by Opening its Grid IQ™ Experience Center
Invitation to tour the completed Experience Center that will offer consumers and utilities a world-class smart grid education
WHAT:GE welcomes Georgia Gov.Nathan Deal along with other Georgia government officials, industry executives and academic partners for the grand opening and tour of theGrid IQ™ Experience Center in Atlanta, Ga.
Media are invited to participate in this VIP event to see thenewly-completed,world-destination Experience Center and worldwide headquarters for GE’s Digital Energy business.
During the event, media and other attendees will receive:
- Remarks from GE and government officialsonhow the Grid IQ Experience Center will solidify Atlanta’s reputation for energy innovation and what the Smart Grid Center of Excellence means for Atlanta’s economy
- A tablet computer-guided educational tour of the Grid IQ Experience Centerwithin-depth, interactive demos and insights about how:
- Smart grid technologies make domestic and global societies cleaner, smarter more efficient and reliablein their energy use
- Smart grid technologies empower both utilities and consumers to reduce energy consumption
- Consumers can make a house more energy efficient
