NOTICE OF RACE 2017

GAIRLOCH BOAT CLUB CHARITY BIG BOAT EVENT

JUNE Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th 2017

1.  The Charity Big Boat Event Weekend event will be held at Gairloch Boat Club, Pier Road, Gairloch, on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September, 2017.

2.  Racing will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2017-2020 including RYA prescriptions, the sailing instructions and this Notice of Race.

3.  Entry is open to all club members and visiting sailors.

4.  Racing will be for keel boats. There will be up to 3 handicap starts on

Saturday 24th June, Sunday 25th June there will be 1 Race.

5.  4 races are scheduled. Race 1 will not start before 11:30 on Saturday 24th, and entries will be taken at the club from 9.30a.m. Briefing will be at 10:00a.m.

6.  Scoring will be by RSS Appendix A. Races will be handicap races, and may be on an average lap time basis. All races are planned to be sailed back-to-back on each day.

7.  On Saturday Meal bookings can be made at The Shieling Restaurant, Tel 01445 712888, (also with Raffle and Music), The Old Inn 712006, The Myrtle Bank 712004, Spiral Café & Bistro 712397, The Millcroft Hotel 712376.

8.  Competitors should be aware that relevant entry details may be held as a computer record. A copy of this N.O.R. will be posted on the club website at www.spanglefish.com/gairlochboatclub and on the club noticeboard. Entry Forms, Sailing Instructions will also be on the GBC Website.

9. From time to time, photographs & Videos of participants may be taken and may be used for Club Records, Club Website & Face Book or for publicity purposes. If you disagree, please tell us.
