6. / Description of content: Blended edible vegetable oil means admixture of any two refined edible vegetable oils where the proportion by weight of any refined edible vegetable oil used in the admixture is not less than 20 percent. The individual oils in the blend shall conform to the respective standards prescribed by the rules. The blend shall be free from rancidity, suspended or insoluble matter or any other foreign matter, separated water, added coloring matter, flavoring substances, mineral oil, or any other edible and non-edible oils, or fats, argemone oils, hydrocyanic acid, castor oil and tricresyl phosphate. It shall conform to the following standards, namely:
1. Moisture and volatile matter - Not more than 0.2 percent by weight
2. Acid value - Not more than 0.5 mg Potassium hydroxide per kg oil
3. Unsaponifiable matter, per cent by weight
a. Blend with rice bran oil: Not more than 3.0 per cent by weight
b. Blend with other edible vegetable oils: Not more than 1.50 per cent by weight
c. Oryzanol content: Not more than 1
4. Flash point - Not more than 250 degree Celsius(Penske-Marten closed method)
5. Peroxide value - Not more than 10 mili-equivalent peroxide oxygen per kg oil
Blended edible vegetable oil shall may contain the following food additives.
A. Antioxidant (singly or in combination)
1. Lecithin - According to GMP
2. Ascorbic acid - According to GMP
3. Propyl gallate, ethyl gallate, octyl gallate, Dodecyl gallate or mixture thereof - Not more than 100 mg per kg
4. Butylated Hydroxy Anisole - Not more than 200 mg per kg
5. Any combination of propyl gallate, BHA within limit of gallate and BHA - Not more than 200 mg per kg
6. Natural or synthetic tocopherols - According to GMP
7. Ascorbyl palmilate/esterate (singly or in combination) - Not more than 500 mg per kg
8. Citric acid, tartaric acid, gallic acid - According to GMP
9. Resin Guaise - Not more than 100 mg per kg
10. Tertiary Butyl Hydroquinone - Not more than 200 mg per kg
B. Antioxidant Synergists:
1. Sodium citrate - According to GMP
2. Isopropyl citrate, phosphoric acid, monoglyceride citrate (singly or in combination) - Not more than 100 mg per kg
C. Anti-foaming agent:
1. Dimethyl polysiloxane (singly or in combination with silicon dioxide) - Not more than 10 mg per kg

The container containing the blended edible vegetable oil should clearly mention all information according to the Food Regulation.
