· A copy of this exemption must accompany each load in transportation.)
· This exemption expires on Enter Date.
A copy of this letter must accompany each load of transported timber and be produced for inspection if requested by a Forest Officer.

Example Letter
Further to your request for a timber marking exemption, dated November 09, 2005 and pursuant to Section 84(5) of the Forest Act, ABC Forest Products Ltd. is hereby exempt from the requirements of Section 84(1) and 84(3) of the Forest Act specific to section 3, of the Timber Marking and Transportation Regulation for Timber Mark ZZZ stored at Kilometre 68, XYZ Road, XXX Operating Unit.
Per Section 84(5) of the Forest Act the above exemption is subject to the following conditions:
The licensee is required to apply the timber mark in the following manner:
· on at least five logs on each end of each deck using hammer indentation; and
· across the face of all decks using paint
· when hauling commences, the standard requirement for marking of land transported timber will apply.
OR
· hammer marks on transported loads are not required
· timber marks on transported loads will be affixed using paint on the front, back and on both sides of each load.
· This exemption expires July 15, 2006
