FUNDRAISING & MARKETING VOLUNTEER

ROLE DESCRIPTION

PURPOSE

As a Fundraising and Marketing Volunteer with Age UK East Sussex you will be a valued member of the team. As well as having fun and making a difference to the lives of local older people you will support the actives of the Fundraising and Marketing Team.

ROLE OF THE VOLUNTEER

  • Assist in the preparation of fundraising and marketing materials
  • As directed complete applications for small grants
  • As directed fundraise through other channels e.g. supermarket token schemes
  • Distribute and manage collection pots
  • Monitor marketing materials
  • As directed distribute press releases to relevant titles
  • Provide administration support to the Fundraising and Marketing team

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES NEEDED

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good administration and organisational skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Enjoy working as part of a team

SCOPE

  • This is an office based role in Hampden Park, Eastbourne.
  • We are looking for volunteers who would be able to provide a minimum of one day per week for three months or more.
  • We will provide a shared desk, computer and phone

  • Support the Mission and Vision of Age UK East Sussex by helping us to ensure that East Sussex is a great place to grow older
  • Attend any training and information days and group meetings
  • Participate in regular one to one supervision with your line manager
  • Adhere to Age UK East Sussex confidentiality and equal opportunities policies maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times
