Action Items for Assembly Members

  1. New Members: Complete Assembly Member 30-day onboarding checklistbefore the next meeting & review all of the supportingpacket materials.
  2. USG Legislative Liaisons - Signup to liaise for GPSA in one USG Tempe Senate Meeting (Tuesdays, 6:30PM in MU)
  3. Committees – get settled in your assignments, and or coordinate with chairs for re-assignments

  1. Updated committee registration form with regularly scheduled meeting times.
  2. Multiple Assembly reassignments
  3. 23/38 Assembly seats filled.
  4. GSO Leadership Engagement: Met with 2 prospective GSO organization creators on the process
  5. GSO event calendar is live here.
  6. Purchased new timing materials for maintaining order during Assembly meetings
  7. General & Administrative duties: ongoing exec committee meetings, Athletics, General Assembly activities and website updates

  11. Finalize GSO Funding Policies and Procedures, and make appropriate updates to website, including language on the main page about competitive bids.

  13. Government Operations:
  14. Developing program for Assembly member engagement with Deans, w/ Dr. Rund
  15. Update the soft copies of the Constitution, Bylaws, and Supreme Court Rules to be consistently formatted for clarity and search ability. And create a table with key dates.
  16. Review Bylaws for any discrepancies and resolve, such as director positions
  17. Resolve GPSA – Supreme Court outstanding items: Rules and Procedures Complaint Process, Rules and Procedures Answer Process
  18. Coordinate with GPSA and Assembly Presidents to confirm Supreme Court members for the year
  19. Investigate Assembly member engagement in proposing bills and resolutions for changes in
  20. GPSA policies (e.g. policy documents for review criteria, deadlines, and $ amounts)
  21. University policies.

Assembly Operations Committee

We are going to be looking over the rules this month and finding those that are problematic. Once we get a list of problems, we will propose ways to fix them and then vote to make the changes.

A lot of language can be simplified (for readability) and unnecessary language cut.

Anna Cirellhas agreed to take over that role in ensuring they are up after we get approval.
